Oh... wow, then I really have no clue at all what this is. Sorry to have gone off on my little tangent, then. I don't even understand why people use bitcoin, so this mining stuff is completely foreign to me. I need the hdd space in my brain for other things.

Bitcoin is an online/virtual currency that is used like real money and isn't taxed.
People who believe in Bitcoin will use it in the hopes it will become more popular.

the friends,
sorry but I do not have time to read all.
is there news of the tools that had to go out to edit.
not froostitools the other.
thank you for your answer, I hope you have fun on the fifa 18

Frosty is all that is available at the moment for public usage.

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that Crowd animations are locked to 30 FPS in FiFA 18, no matter what FPS your game renders at?

Even in FiFA 17, crowds had unlocked framerate. But in FiFA 18, they animated at 30 FPS while everything else runs on unlocked framerate.

Usually its not that noticeable since they move slowly and most of the time we see the players. But this is a bad sign. In future they might lock all animations [including players and referees] to 30 FPS which would means we would suffer from peasant experience.

Just my opinion, but being able to control more than one team in career, I care about.
Being able to control transfers during a career, I care about.
More realistic physics and collision detection, I care about.
Maybe I'm just too busy playing the game and actually trying to create plays and score, but if those three things I mentioned were in the game I couldn't care less if the crowd were sprites from 16-bit cartridge games. Especially if their relistic animation is done at the cost of animation suffering on the pitch. Sorry, I understand your complaint, but whether Pogba has the right haircut, crowd people look real enough, or the sky looks real enough, I could not possibly begin to care less and the more the developers felt the same way, the more we'd have a properly made football experience that didn't need so much modding to be top quality.

I understand.

But I expect a fairly polished product from a high budget company like EA. You know, I would be totally fine with gameplay if it was made by some indie devs. But FiFa games costs 60-75$ and its not cheap. And some of these issues [like 30 fps crowds] weren't even there in older games. It's like they tend to screw things up even though its perfectly fine.

Anyway, that's my opinion and I understand your opinion too. Sometimes realistic animations hamper gameplay too. PES 18 is a good example of this. That game feels sluggish.

The hell? 34 GB update and its stuck on Preparing

What's happening?

34 GB?! What is that update, the World Cup add-on?

Nah, this was some sort of glitch I guess.

Cancelled and restarted several times but download never goes past "Preparing" stage. I've waited as long as 30 mins.

Anyway, I fixed it by selecting "Repair game" from origin and then it downloaded a 1.27 GB patch instead.

Does anybody know anything about how these new security regulations for European Union will affect this site?
We know that many sites, like moddingway will be hit hard and this one will have to allign to the new regulations also, but what will this mean?
We are constantly complaining about the lack of mods but we might be hardest hit by the politicians from UE in the end.(at least the ones living within UE borders).
Looks like the dark days for modding are not behind, but ahead still.

What exactly about the new regulations make moddimg more difficult. The regulations actually strengthen individuals rights and is about data protection in relation to individual and organisations.
In the UK through the data protection act is being replaced by the new laws. I've looked at the new act and nothing seems to have any punitive implications for this site or moddimg

I'm not saying it's not benefic for us in the UE, in fact quite the opposite, it's a crucial upgrade in the security filed and long overdue.
I'm sayind that according to this law, all the sites accesible tu UE users must make some changes and those cost money and time. So many sites will not be willing/able to implement those changes resulting in them being blocked in th UE.
Hopefully the administrators of this one eill implement the changes required in order to feep it going, otherwise this site will be blocked for UE and that somehow will affect the modding comunity, wouldn't you say so?
Moddingway is already in danger and we cannot afford same fate with soccer gaming forum.

Well, I'm not the most well-versed person in these things but I'm not understanding either how that would affect a site like this from existing or managing itself. Site admins are constantly having to make changes for security issues, updates on their webhosts, modifications to sign-up protocols, DOS protection, I don't see how a ruling like this in any way threatens a site's ability to keep running? But again, I'm not criticising your point, I just don't know enough about this.

Probably not a big deal for this site, it will get over it, I'm sure.
And anyway, only European Union users might be affected.
What this law is about...practically is a new security protocol for personal data protection requiring sites to make some changes in order to be compatible with the directive of the European Union, which was voted two years ago and will be enforced since may 25 this year.
Site administrators will be forced to apply those required changes or be blocked in the UE and those changes require money to be made.
This means that small sites with not enough income might be blocked or closed but is a huge step forward anyway.
For the north american users (USA, Canada), those reglementations I hear will be upon your zone in a few years too.

Where are you getting this info about Moddingway being in danger, I have looked and can find no links to info confirming any of that. Also, wasn't it you who a few months back started a conversation about the approaching end of offline gaming? Seems you worry a lot about the future, and things that are really just idle speculation. That's not good for the health bro, I found that out for myself years ago! :)

Well, read what Ariel said in fifa 16 thread at his site....anyway, you're right Bangus, not worth worrying, what will be will be anyway.
And not for modding I'm really worried, this is just a passion, not a business.

Okay thanks. For me, I don't need a new game every year. I play Tiger Woods 08 for example because it's the best golf game ever made. And this year's FIFA with Fidel's cam mod is fantastic, I would be happy playing it for years to come.

A lot of changes will soon be coming to the internet I don't doubt that, thanks to crooked politicians and greedy corporations. But unless Origin becomes inaccessible, I'm all set no matter what happens. Most worries have to with expectations. Change the expectations and the worries disappear.
