Yes, in 2012, but nowadays the tide is shifting....
There seems to be a growing demand for this kind of subscribing service and EA already gave us a clear ideea that this is what the future holds for the series.
I really can't imagine how would it look, but if it results in more money for the producers, I'm sure it will happen.
And yes, that is what everyone says - EA will miss the bombastic constant news when aproaching the time of release and the milion of consumers ready to give their money away when reading the tales of the new enhacements (pffui) but they'll find another way of heralding a huge change like one or two months before updating some hair model they'll writte once a week on all the sites about how it will move on the wind or how realistic will look or something like that and the milions of buyers will still read and wait the update and so on....
Oh yes, and charge extra money for every addon like stadiums or alternartive kits and that is sure to happen, in fact is declared by the producers....extra packages are called.(omg)
