1. Open the "game property" of FIFA 18 in Origin.
2. Select "Russian" for "Game Language" in "Advanced Launch Options".
3. Save your changes.

#1 to 3 may not be necessary.

4. Back up FIFA 18.exe
5. Open "FIFA 18. exe" with Hex editor.
6. Text type "ru_RU" Search and edit to "en_US".

7. Text type "rus,ru" Search and edit to "eng,us".

8. Search "en_US" in another place different from the above "6" and edit it to "ru_RU".

9. Save your changes.

Unfortunately in this last update (beginning of the week) Game doest start if I modify the .exe and keep the old commentary files and stuff.

Are you kind enough to provide the Brazilian Portuguese ((POR BR) newest language and commentary files? Sorry if you've posted them already as I couldn't find in the forum.

Perhaps, the global (Europe?) Region seems to contain DB files of all text languages.
To use an unsupported text language, you need to edit FIFA 18. exe with the Hex editor.
Also, to use an unsupported commentary language, enable that text language and place a commentary language file.

can anyone tell me why after i downloaded this files and placed in the right place some of the languages dont appear in fifa?
English,french,german,italian,spanish and dutch appear and i can choose them,but Russian,portugal and poland language doesnt appear anyone know why?
All language were working before but after i reinstalled the game some of them doesnt appear to be chosen

Got FIFA18 as a gift code for my PC and of course it came only in Russia (EA region lock greed continues), we can't even have English commentary.
EA Help didn't help either, obviously.
So I tried your method (English files and your Rus to Eng exe) and it worked!
Just a couple questions now:
- I hope you'll be there when WC2018 DLC comes out on May 29 to update the files & exe (because I'm a noob at hex editing) with new commentary.
- Is there a chance to get multiple commentary languages in the Russian locked version of the game?

Hi,

if I buy the russian version of FIFA 18 (only Russian text and commentary) will I be able to translate it to Italian ? I need the italian text, I don't care about commentary. I want to buy the russian version because it's way cheaper than the global one. I'd mostly play online.

Thank you. I do appreciate your help. May I know you if the .exe of the RU version of FIFA 18 (only Russian language) contains italian as well (by using Hex Editor) ? Should I download the italian language pack first and paste it into FIFA 18 folder ?

Actually since the Russian version (or any other region locked version) contains only one language, it's not possible to download other languages directly from Origin. Would it be the same if downloaded from other websites ?

After finishing the download of the game, I'll try hiroshi's tutorial. Regarding the second option you advised, you are totally correct, but the difference of price between the russian version and the global one is that the second one costs twice the price of the first.

However generally it's way better buying the global one to avoid any annoying issue.

I paid 16 euros the russian version, which is about 19 dollars.

Every year, I buy one new game when it comes out: FIFA. I buy it from CD Keys for 60-70 bucks. That's like two meals at a Thai restaurant. One night in a pub. About what most people spend at MacDonalds every other week. It's all perspective. IMO my 60-70 bucks spent is a 300 times better deal because it lasts me all year.
