Seeing that the Squad saves can be opened with rinaldo's Internal Master tool, could someone post a link to the tool for those of us who don't have it? rinaldo's site is defunct and it would be great if we could have a thread dedicated to posting links for his tools that people need but don't have. Thanks.

That was easy, thanks. I tried the Moddingway link for FM last week, but it defaulted to rinaldo's defunct site, I just assumed all Moddingway links for rinaldo's tools went there. Thanks again.

Well it doesn't work for me and strangely that version shows Internal Master 11 at the top whereas in this screenshot:

It shows IM 12 at the top? I've googled but can't find reference to any version of IM 12 beyond beta 1

It allows you to open and read save files and tables, the same DB tables you edit using Database Manager or Creation Master.

It will not be 100% correct because you don't have a FIFA 17 database XML, I'm sure you could load the save file with a 16 XML but it isn't guaranteed to give the correct data.

you can load but it won't load fully correctly, there'll be some unknown parts

Is this program able to open career saves? If so, would it be possible to use it to undo some unrealistic transfers made by the cpu?

No chance. Your only real solution is to install a career mode mod like Beta's with transfers fixed, and then start your career over.
