FIFA 16 Impressions (Demo/Full Game)

Playing on World Class: it's much harder than FIFA 15 as AI is way more aggressive. When they have the ball they pass it in a very fast and robotic way, I'm hating it.

Overall, it's the FIFA with less differences from its predecessor I've played.

What do you guys think of the demo so far?

I recognised one thing in particular: Womens' animations/body models look sooo much better and more realistic than the mens' one.

I wished for fifa 17 they would completely redo all mens' animation, like they did for the womens' this year. Mens' play looks like many old animations with added animations from year to year, which doesn't look so smooth like womens' animation sets. Am I the only one who thinks so?
i totally agree with you i surprised when i play a match with women team and i noticed they play better than men teams and their animation is away better than men teams !!!! totally surprised from what EA do !

Does anyone else also have a hard time gettingused to the slightly changed controls?

I've always used LT for closer control and then would pass the ball. But now LT + pass does an unnecessary trick pass.

I also enjoyed using the super close ball control with LB, but now it is 'off the ball movement'? It simply makes my player lose the ball.

And yeah, new driven passes feel more powerfull than actual shots. Might be OP online.
Exactly what I've been saying. Try to use close control to beat players, instead does body feints left and right and lose the ball. Is there even a close control option this year?

My impressions:

Graphics significantly improved
Animations improved
Control smoothness improved

But past all the pretty, and looking underneath the hood, the gameplay is the same damn arcade/CPU boost nonsense as every year. And now EA wants 80 bucks (?!) for this? No thanks.

I don't agree, graphics are the same! for example, in fifa 14 xbox one kits effects was much better, and the goal nets are always the same from fifa 08

not impressed ... also, what's wrong with shootings!!!
Shooting used to be the best part of this series, FIFA 12 and 13. FIFA 15 shooting was bad for some reason and FIFA 16 is even worse, feels like kicking a balloon and players appear to be using the finesse shot animation for every shot. EA didn't patch the shooting in FIFA 15, no reason to believe they'll fix it in FIFA 16.

new cpu coding aint happening till we have the ignite engine to drive FIFA games.

i have other issues but FIFA 16 is definitely quite a few steps ahead of FIFA 15.
It is a few steps ahead, I'm enjoying it. Still, my point is this: EA has kept this same gameplay coding for years now, where the CPU suddenly starts playing like a team of coked-out Messis and potting goals at the 45 minute mark like clockwork. I still see all this in the FIFA 16 demo. When all is said and done, nothing has really changed with this series over the years other than graphics, animations and control smoothness.

Ignite Engine is at his limit.
Few new features, only improvements from last year while the tactic side of the game have to be rewrited from scratch.
Career mode is too semplicistic, training is some sort of doping if the other teams can't do the same thing and i want to see the new preseason tournament if you take a lower league team. They will play in the world even if they don't have funds?

Hi mates.Hi mates. Somebody can tell me what temperature reach your pc playing fifa 16? in my case, the temperature is upper of 15° than fifa 15......it's normal?? with an high performance pc.
I play with max settings very well, with no lags. Only that i've 15° over fifa 15 temperature (in fifa 15 i touched 70°, in fifa 16 85°). My hardware is very sufficient, very raccomanded requirements satisfactory, but with this surplus of temp in fifa 16. If i set in power save mode the maximum activity of cpu at 70%, i've no differences in gameplay, no lags, all work perfect, but only that in this manner i arrived at 72°with fifa 16. The impression is that demo fifa 16 use the cpu randomly, so i have more temp, but with no sense, because if i set a lower max cpu activity, i've the same excellent gaming experience but with lower temp.

But i would not set the maximum cpu activity to 70%...

nVidia gtx850 4gigabyte, intel v7 4710HQ to 2.5/3.5 ghz.

i meant that it is only when fifa goes NG again..we will get significant code changes in AI..:)

Same thing happens to my machine.

Either inadequate cooling or bad optimization.

I'm going with bad optimization because my machine is freezing.

hm not noticed any change in temp on my pc but will keep an eye on it and see if it is the same case for me

as for the actual game i did not like it at first mainly because I was playing it the way I played 15 and could not get my team playing good football but now I have taken a different approach im starting to beat the CPU again on legendary the game feels more sim than 15's arcade play which is a good thing in my opinion

one thing I have noticed is sometimes you think you have lost possession in a battle for the ball if you keep persevering you can still come away with the ball there is a lot more 50/50 outcomes in tackles now
