If you are using the same rating scale EA uses for the men, I would say your ratings in general are 50-70% higher than they should be. Examples: You have some women rated 85+ strength... There is not a single woman player in the world who would be rated above 50 strength when compared to the men. Also, the lowest any male player in FIFA is rated in, say, shot power/finishing is around 40. Using that as your rating base, no woman would be rated higher than that, and most would need to be rated in the 1-20 range compared to the men.

Mentality ratings such as aggression and positioning (and even stamina) are different of course, women could realistically be rated as high as the men in those categories.

That said, EA stated that the ratings system used to rate the women is all new, it is not the same as the rating system used for men. So we have no idea which ratings EA is even using for the women.

The rating system EA used for the men makes no sense, I really wonder what the women abilities are based on.

As long as we don't know what the system is exactly, it is still good to get an indication on the quality of a player in comparison to other female players. The overall rating should be about the rating the player gets when the player is rated in the women system. In this discussion we can talk about the relative quality of a player.

I suppose that makes sense on some level. But you're not providing comparisons that relate to anything. You're comparing women to Premier League players, when you should be comparing them to players in the various amateur county Football Associations, etc. You're creating your own women's football universe in a vacuum. As far as an actual "stats discussion" goes, this thread serves no practical purpose.

A more worthwhile project would be to edit the db and create women's teams in the game using the current men's body models (which now look like women), and assign them pony tails and fem hairdos etc. Then create a thread and provide ratings for the women in relation to the men (meaning rating them 1-50 in most categories). That at least would give this rating project of yours some meaning.

Anyway, EA has also stated that the women's teams in the game will only be available to play against other women's teams. Which essentially renders women's teams useless as nobody is going to waste their time playing women's football, apart from trying it out for 10 minutes to see what the gimmick is all about. Typical EA and exactly what they do with Madden each year. The game programming has required a complete scrapping and code rewrite for the past decade, but what do they spend their resources on instead? Adding some cheesy gimmick like Create A Fan. Or in this case, women footballers.
