I just wanted to share this story, since I love Fifa 14, but you can't polish a turd...

This next story should make people think of and look at EA in disgust, that's how I felt:

I was playing my player career as a CAM on Legendary difficulty and in the 90th minute of the game I ran back to help my team defend our draw, trying to cut out the AI's passes and intercept their 'Barcelona' passing, when I suddenly lost moving control of my player and it was like of his own volition, he (without me moving him) jogged next to our team's goalkeeper and kept their striker onside, for their playmaker to pass it to him and they scored and won the game and just as if nothing had happened I was then able to move my player with my controller...I got so freaked out by this, I immediately pinched myself as if this was a dream it was like someone had possessed my controller (the script)

I kid you not, this actually happened, I have no reason to lie before you think this is fake

The game is just codes and codes of horse shit and it's no ones fault... (EA)

Let's hope that Fifa 15 isn't...

Lots of us have had situations like this. Career Mode, for example, was pissing me off very much due to scripring. Offline Ultimate Team was unplayable for the same reason.

haha sorry your story did make me laugh and I dont doubt it being true at all as has been said the majority have seen similar things

off the top of my head I can remember in FIFA 14 being in the champions league semis needing to win the second leg 2-0 after a 1-0 away loss I hammered Bayern all game winning 2-0 89th minute they suddenly played 4 or 5 superfast passes and my center backs split in 2 running off towards the fullback positions while i controlled my DMF covering the gaps they passed through clear on goal and scored it was the most blatant cheating I have seen I couldnt help but laugh lol

on another note the FIFA 15 player models are awful I thought in the gamescom reviews people where saying the huge shoulders were gone? terrible

This is the reply of someone who is being willfully ignorant, just to avoid the obvious discussion in all this. This is not about me not wanting licenses and good faces. I like faces and licenses.

The problem is THESE GAMES ALREADY HAD ALL THAT FOR YEARS. Faces looked great 3 years ago and licenses have been in the game for a decade. So then what's left to get excited about? That Pirlo's beard movement is properly mo-capped? That Man U's Chevy logo is exactly 20 inches wide (or however big that monstrosity actually is)? That Balotelli is dressed in his new Liverpool red "It's Always About Me!" tshirt?

Is this a football game or The Sims?

The one thing FIFA has never had is realistic, simulation CPU gameplay. That's my point. And I will repeat that over and over again until The Sims crowd finally gets why it is EA doesn't ever bother to improve the football gameplay in this football game.

There is nothing in any of the FIFA 15 videos I watched that looks like that. You can take any screen cap and make it look bad, just look at the pointless face comparison argument going on in this thread.

This is it exactly. Here are the facts: this so-called next-gen leap and Ignite engine is a complete fabrication and a joke. It's a graphics engine, period. As for gameplay: three generations of FIFA and Madden, and both games are STILL OBVIOUSLY using the same gameplay coding they were using a decade ago. Watch any new Madden PS4 video - the gameplay looks exactly like Madden 2004, right down to the same camera angles, animations, player sliding and warping, suction tackling and so forth.

If graphics are your thing, these games should be photo-realistic by now. That's what I don't understand. I can see why people are interested in improved graphics. But these games haven't even improved graphically all that much. EA just adds some crowd animations, distance stadium shots and fireworks, and gamers oooh and ahhh like this is some great leap in sports game development. Bah.

It's really sad but true that EA never do anything to improve the CPU gameplay. they totally depend on their online gamemodes and that's basically what draws 90% of the people who buy the game. they're figuring "who gives a shit about what the CPU gameplay is like if we can get the $$$ through online modes".

the guy who took the screen cap i believe had the beta and was complaining about the models aswell as gameplay

after the FIFA WC game which was a disaster 'old gen' or not im not expecting anything special for 15

Ermm Lambert looks like a muscle bound bodybuilder....first thing I talked to Ariel about when I saw the videos was how ridiculous the body models look.....

They will definitely say next year that they updated player models again so FIFA16 will look even more realistic!

You honestly think they'd make any attempt to portray body resemblance in the game? They have top notch scan technology to faithfully reproduce player faces and yet make a very scarce use of it, so trying to reproduce players physique surely ain't a priority of theirs as it's a little harder than creating starheads. Only thing they've done was make the generic models look like all players spend more time in the gym, so they basically all look like they're wearing tight fit jerseys... Just look at Messi's renders for example. It looks as if he had arms like a slim basketball player instead of looking like a regular guy with short stature. And there are others like Lambert who look like they're Dwayne Johnson. I know Lambert's a big dude but he doesn't exactly look like the hulk in real life lol

EA works on Fifa about a month/year, so don't ask for more than an update of the last version. The rest of the year they have other games and projects to develop.
This "engine" thing is just a marketing bomb to make you think you must buy the game. Ive started with FIFA 07 and you all know that the game has the same structure like that old version. Sure, 14 is much modern, but after this "7 years-update" is not much. Even the stupidity of the gameplay is the same like 7 years earlier.
