FIFA '08 Vs PES 2008

What the big deal? And yes, Fifa has an edit mode within the game and there are plenty of editors creatod by fans.

One of the reasons PES has such an editor is because of their lack of licenses. But yes, the PES editor is really nicelly done.

However it's not as good as Rinaldo's masterpiece editor for Fifa which lets you edit every single part of the game.

Pes is blatantly better. I've said it a billion times before why Pes is better, so I'm just gonna say that: we have an edit mode! Does Fifa? Anything is possible with an edit mode!
- A player's cut their hair? No problem, just pop on to edit mode.
- Some kits need changing? No problem, edit mode.
- Need to make quick and easy transfers? Easy. Edit mode.

Does Fifa have one? No? Pes has had one since number 1.

And one more thing, something as simple as: people say Pes' menu is not as good as Fifa's - well we can hold down directional buttons on menus to go faster! Ha! On Fifa you have to tap repeatedly! (That's what is was like on Fifa 04 anyway, surely it's been changed by now!)

how odd, a pes sheep talking about "cosmetic and shallow options". Go cut gutis hair and enjoy it. Now try playing onlinetry innovative game modestry playing 5 vs. 5and try tricking yourself into believing pes 2008 is next gen

Yeah, we could all learn someting from you, all this arguing is getting nowhere, I'll stick with my opinion, other people will stick with theirs. End of story. If everyone kept on going, we'd never stop!

Mate, I agree with you 100%. everybody has their own opinions and likes/dislikes.

Some like FIFA. Great.

Some like PES. Great.

All this senseless arguing that NEVER GOES ANYWHERE is just a waist of time.

Dead link. PES hater huh? I don't hate it. I hope Konami really put out a great next gen game next year. I'll be so there. I back up who ever has the better game any given year.

I think the fact that even the PES 'extremist' fans are complaining about this PES2008 will eventually wake up Konami and they will then pretty much overhaul every department (except for gameplay) and then we should see a TRUE NG game from them.

IMO, this game will be a true reality wake up for Konami. NG means a whole new territory in which FIFA and PES start off as equal competitors. The era of the late 90s/early 2000s is over for Konami. Now they must start again from the bottom.

wow, ignorant statement. its simple....when ps2 came out it was called next gen cause the masses were still playing ps1 (current gen).....most people play ps2 now so if you have a ps3, it's next gen since 3 is NEXT (pun intended) after 2 I can simplify it further if you want

PES the obvious choice

I'm playing the Pc versions of both Pes 08 and FIFA 08.

FIFA : Repetitive Commentary, Horrifying graphics, return of the EA Sports boots
PES : Realistic, feels like an actual football match, absolutely everything can be customized.

PES has been doing some serious catching up on FIFA over the past years and I think with the 2008 version it has taken FIFA's crown and can be declared as the best football game ever. EA have made a terrible screw up of the PC version of FIFA 08, PLAY IT AND SEE FOR YOURSELF! PES is more fluent, more realistic and bloody hell it looks good. Sad to see that the next gen version of FIFA didn't make it to the PC.

Usually i just buy both games. I think their both good in their own way, the passing in Fifa feels really fluent and i think the football is at a good pace. I think u have more freedom dribbling on prov evo however it is just abit to fast for my liking and i can see were people are coming from when they say it is arcade like.
You feel abit more restricted on Fifa taking players on however it makes up for this in the passing and the movement off the ball and therefore i think it makes it more of a thinking game compared to pro evo where i think the sprinting/dribbling is much too over powered.

But face the general fact, Fifa is always going to be the favourite just because you actually feel like playing in the premiership with licensed teams and kits and even crowd chants, were as in pro u sometimes feel like a sunday league side with unlicensed kits.

sorry but anyone with half a brain cell can see fifa 08 sucks, on next gen.

it has loads of problems, covered up with a realistic feel and graphics.

problems;

-attributes play-out the game, not the players'. so doesn't matter how well you play against an idiot, you're lucky to score a good goal.

-too many exploits, plays. Tapping the ball into the box then tapping it in for an easy goal is way too easy to do, the defenders IGNORE the ball.

-Too many cpu decisions over tackling, last man tackles. I lost 3-1 online. Scored a great well worked for goal and all 3 of this kids goals were cuase I made a successful tackle and the ball magically went back to the strikers foot cause his attributes were better than my defenders. what a load of f*cking sh!t!!!!!




I say, play PES. I think the next version will be where it's at.

hopefully it'll be a game where you actually have control over you damn bloody team, cause FIFA 08 gives you f*cking nothing to control, it's an utter bloody joke of a football game, especially online when all its flaws shine.


Stick to PES, FIFA is just hiding its problems with smart marketing and clever realistic touches. But keep playing and you'll see it's the same old utter sh!t year after year.

FIFA08 is the most realistic football game ever made, if you cant win, stuck with arcade PES....
