"So could this finally be the year that the tide turns? That it's no longer men against boys. That in a game of two halves, one side gives it 110%. And that the FIFAs the PESs and the Sensibles of the world put in a forward's tackle with their favourite left foot....."
After reading quite a few articles on the new fifa 08 , some of them quite promising. I thought hmmmm , it might be the year when we have two quality football titles to play. Fifa because i can play as leeds and try to top league 1.
Pes 08 to play online against my friends and to have a go with the master league. This year i bought fifa and it cost me £42 from woolies, believe me i much prefer pro evo, but fifa had got good reports this year.
It is a very hard game, what i mean is it is very hard to score a goal. This is not a bad thing as people do like a challenge. I have played many games on fifa 08 using different difficulty levels, when i have taken the lead in a couple of matches the computer ai just seems to walk through my players and score.
I'm sorry but when you do score a goal you feel you have achieved something great and to have a goal scored repeatedly by the AI in this way is a little soul destroying, after that i loaded up pro 6 and played a few matches with valencia. I am only sorry that i actually started to believe that fifa might be on par with pro 6, oh and i payed £42 for the privilege.
To be honest pro 6 does have it's faults, but even with them it is still far better gameplay wise than fifa 08.
From the latest build videos what i have seen of pes 2008, it looks brilliant now it's been slowed down a tad. The sad thing is i will be lucky to get half my money back.
