Fifa 08 players database converted for 07

Hi guys,
I have bought fifa 08 but I will stay updating and patching Fifa 07 ( which is IMO better than 08 at least mine with more than 300 stadiums & 100 new teams ) ...
And I also doubt fifa 08 will allow us to edit so easily ( with all those 2g generic faces eating a lot of memory ! )
So it took me 1 hour to convert all the real players that appear in 08 database in the 07 format ( in fact the fifa 07 database is merged in the 08 but with a different order for the attributes )...thanks to Uni Db
The only thing to care about is the id number of the shoes which is sometimes above 100 ( in this case you have to put a number lower number that is recognized by fifa 07...not a big deal )
So you can now complete your fifa 07 database with the new players that appear in 08...
Of course you have to be used to work with access Uni db to get the more out of it
So I can send this file to the ones that want it...

Jomi 100 stadiums, i only could install 50, no new teams and leagues, maybe a lot of faces and gk kits... but still, how did you manage to epxand your fifa that much without the fifa.fat size problem ?

It's not a roster update...
It's too much work and nearly a nonsense to make a roster update from fifa 08 because
# a lot of teams have changed ( new id's )
# a good deal of transferts are missing ( as usual EA don't bother of the last week of August transferts )
# the guys that stay here playing and editing fifa 07 have already a fully patched game

I try to explain what I did now and how we can use that :
What I've done is to make the totality of the players that are in fifa 08 compatible with the fifa 07 format and to add them in your 07 database
For those who work with Uni Db / access it's concerning the table " players "
so here is as little tutorial to understand how it works

first of all you have to have the fifa 08 db file ...You can open this file with the Creation Center 07 from Chau Le ( open specific database )
YOU MUST back up your Fifa 07 Db file too in case you make a mistake

step 1. open fifa 08 db with CC07
The CC07 can read the08 database but you cannot work and save your mods.
Thanks to the CC you can browse all the teams and see the players that you want to import in your 07 game...That can be all the players from a promoted team for ex...

step 2.
Now, for each player you want to import you have to write down the Id number ( can see that with CC...edit player button )

step 3.
convert your fifa 07 database with Uni Db ( or Db master ) and open the table " players "
very important check the id's numbers and see if they are not already attributed...A double player's id number cause the game to crash.

step 4.
open the file that I created and copy the players that you have noted ( one player at the time with right click of the mouse )

step 5.
add the line you just copied in at the end of the the players table of your fifa 07 access file

step 6.
repeat steps 4 & 5 how many times you need

step 7.
you may use to order your player file ( use the button alphabetical order AZ in access ) ...save your file

step 8.
open Uni Db and import your new access file into the fifa 07 Db....say yes to overwrite

step 9.
Open your database with the editor of your choice ( CC07 or Creation Master 07 )... The added players can be found in the free agents section and are available to be imported in the teams you want

Sorry for writing a so long post but it's actually more complicated to write than to do it

I have actually more than 350 stadiums installed ( thanks to Soccercrazy )
I just install the day version ( that saves me room )...I use the z-data 35,36,37,38 to erase files I don't need ( thanks Zefilio for the tip )
I don't import faces but I will try soon
My fifa fat is 429 Kb ...but I play just friendly and created tournaments ( no career ) . All my interest get into updating the rosters ( all the leagues ) as well as I can and it takes me a LOT of time

I have make an other trick.
I have make a greek patch 06/07 for fifa 07 then I make the transfers.Then I edit the database but only the players then i put the players of fifa 07 db to fifa 08 db the teams have i add without fifa07 db i must do this alone the kits are fifa 07 kits in the db and rstg fifa 07 too and the db is finish and this doesn't crash in the game i can play friendly tournament mode carrier mode.And all with unidb

I am glad to hear that there are other among us which use things from Fifa 08 for in Fifa 07.
I have already taken many minikits and also balls from Fifa08 to use in Fifa 07.
I do further with Fifa 07 for the same reason as you, such as our, kits, balls, new teams, shoes, faces,stadiums, players etc.….

I copied Jozy Altidore's stats, player ID and face and put him into Fifa 07. Who's Jozy Altidore? Fifa 08 cover boy and new MLS golden child. I also did the same for a team-mate of his, Jamaican Dane Richards. (This was from the demo.) I've also extracted a number of balls, but I haven't finished matching models with textures.
