FIFA 07 Xbox gameplay footage

Yeah it looked like it bounced off his knee. EA has the potential to make a great game... why can't they? Don't want to start anything but depending on what PES looks like next month, i may opt for that instead...say what you want about the lack of licenses, crap commentary and presentation...it still manages to be fun and still "feel" realistic.

I'm hoping they are focusing more on next gen and PC, as I have a 360 and I would think they would want to devote more time to the next gen consoles since they will be gaining alot more momentum. Hopefully it'll be a big improvement from the crap they released with road to the world cup and world cup 2006 for the 360. aside from graphics, i thought they sucked...gameplay was terrible.

I don't know why you guys get stressed over such simple stuff. I like the gameplay shown in the video. I like the gameplay in Fifa 06. You guys need to relax and play the game. Stop worrying about every painstaking realistic detail.

realistic details sure, you can skip a few details! But having the player try and header the ball and for the ball to go in the back of the net when the player didn't touch the ball...isn't a realistic detail...it's just plain ridiculous! I'm sure this is early footage as always until EA release some decent, higher quality video's on the official site.

FIFA 06 isn't a bad game I still don't think it is. I think it's just too easy. If FIFA 06 had come with a much better shooting system and a really difficult to break CPU defence, the game would've gone up 2+ points in every review, from whoever reviewed it!! simple as that.

Adding to what NK just said, we are not pissed because of the fact that the game looks real or not; it's just that more than 20 FIFA fan sites and more than 3000 new idea was for some reason not taken into the EA team consideration!!!!! (wtf)

We do not want a perfect game, but we want a soccer game team developers that actually listen to us, and since there are only 2 best selling soccer games in the market, we kind of chose FIFA over PES.

If we are going to play the game for the sake of it being only a game, then we might just go and buy FIFA 98 and play it and "have fun"! And simply ask EA to stop making new games, because we want to only "relax and play the game"!

In the last couple of years, I have met and read about many great people who can actually "fix" this game to the better! Why wont the EA team listen to those people? I mean is the EA team setting inside a cave locked down with no communication with the outside world!!! Don't they get that sometimes they must listen to people??? Don't they get that fixing a freakin gravity can be done in some little simple codes in a 5-minute break!!!!

What pisses me off more and more is that all these errors are building up over each other since 4 years, and there are no plans of stopping them at all!! What is this sh!t?

When I pay for a f**king game, I expect the producers of that game to listen to my comments, whatever the comment was! Otherwise I might only go and download the game in the many illegal ways available and "have fun and relax".

I'm saying it again: "If the f**king FIFA 07 demo is going to be the same as the footage I've seen, then I swear to my god that I'm downloading this game in every illegal way possible", and please, no one give me some lame "legal" sh!t talk about buying a game that is developed for the sake of gaining money only; EA must expect such act from me and from many others.

Apart from the very clear bug when the ball was headed in, what was so wrong with that footage? I saw some very promising and new animations in there.

Fifa is just another sports game made by EA along with more important games based on american football, ice hockey and basketball (dull sports the lot of them.) Its not important that fifa is realistic to them.

I said before fifa football should be produced in Europe preferably UK and more importantly not EA.

If you really love football pes is the only option at the moment but that isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination.

The global game! Shame the gaming community doesn't realise that.

Fifa is actually not being developed by Canadians. There all people all over the world making the game. Even old PES developers are in it. I actually think that the game engine is just NOT GOOD ENOUGH! It has too much limitations. They really should get a new engine. It would help very much.

I know other nations are a part of the development team but i don't think they put their heart and soul into it. Football is important as is football gaming. Bring footy gaming development to the UK.

I think the issue here is, that not only is it a very obvious and clear bug, but the fact that many a time these bugs are NOT ironed out of the game before it goes gold then is released.

You play the demo, and you spot a bug or two and in the past think 'this is a demonstration, not the final game...this bug won't be in the final product on the shelf, it's too obvious and ruins the experience!' ...so what do you do? You buy the game and are shocked when these obvious, clearly enjoyment-stopping bugs turn up in there. I wonder if the people who test the game sit their sipping on a can of coke and laughing at each other and cheering at goals rather than taking some sensible notes and passing them onto the programmers when bugs are spotted. Sometimes it makes me wonder, and what is sad is I don't think EA SPORTS have enough time to sort it out, by the time it's passed onto testers, they don't have enough time to get rid of these bugs...either that or they have a fix for it, even though it comes with more issues and it's called FIFA 08? That is a question in itself as that seems to be what has happened in the past. I doubt EA are quite like that at all, nor are they money mad-heads, I know they do want customers to enjoy the product, but perhaps FIFA is such a large game, and growing by the year that they don't have the time to develop it bug-free!

I love my FIFA games, but say;

*shooting on goal, clearly missing and having the game count it as a goal
*Clearly score and not have a goal counted
*see the keeper get to the ball during open play, the ball goes through his hands and scores
*taking a penalty kick, keeper saves it, but ball goes in for a goal and it's counted as a save
*you foul a player, no referee is shown or any action takes places...you have no idea what's gone on. You pause the game go into match facts and see you've been booked! (should've shown it before)
*more bugs than that...won't mention them all.

Well, I hope FIFA 07 has a more 'bug free' game like PES. Yes PES, you know if you knew me somewhat 5-6 years back I HATED PES, i was the evil one in the PES forums who just moaned about PES and hailed FIFA all the time saying how great it was.........then you notice the FIFA players' on this board switching over. A lot of the smart gamers who were genius at patching FIFA went away, these guys were here years ago and now, as far as I know they're enjoying PES. And now, like them I play both games but am still a huge fan of FIFA, always will be! But it just sucks how my perceptions have changed over the years because the FIFA gameplay has lacked realism and difficulty.

Well said NK, well said. I can't agree more with you. I wish that EA do read these posts and at least answer back in their official public site.

KEEPER - Seriously they have improved the keeper you can see it in the first clip were in 2006 the keeper would just stand there no matter how close you come then just tap the ball in this time he makes smarter charges and moves around better.

BALL PHYSICS - They look closer to PES now lol

Yea its starting too lllooook alot like PES5 i guess EA is using PES as a base to follow lol ,
but to those saying that its lil simple things that are missing, but dont forget we are the ones paying 40 something a pop for these titles, so with ALL THE PROFIT THEY GENERATE, they obviously CAN do better, the resources are their but is the initiative thurrr. :jambo:

But where is the bad thing if EA "borrow" some good technics for the ball physics by KONAMI? PES has a lot of good points in ball physics! This is absolutely logical to try to copy it!

Dudes I love shoting style in FIFA 07!!!!!!!!!! :rockman:

FIFA 07, 08, 09 .... blah blah are console games. End of.

EA will never make the PC version look as good as a console version. For example, I played FIFA World Cup 06 on an xbox 360 in PC World (OMGZWTF advertising!) and it looked great... in the ending cinematics, you can see the stubble on a player's chin, in very realistic detail. I go home pleasantly surprised and think surely the PC version will be as good. I 'borrow' the full game for a play test, and now I am finished with it. The PC version is nothing like the Xbox 360 version. It's about 100% worse. I am severely disappointed with EA's constant love with consoles.

Yeah so some people don't have high spec machines, SO WHAT!, that's what graphics level and detail level slider selectors are for in graphics options. Playing this game in the last 3, 4 years has brought with it relatively no new graphics enhancements. And then the xbox 360 comes out and BAM let's use the max processing and graphics power we get from it. But on the PC will we just leave it the way it is... even though we could better the 360 tenfold. But hey that's life. :boohoo: :kader: :jambo:

Rant Over... EA sucks... don't expect anything new.... because then if they don't do anything new with the gfx... you won't be (as) disappointed. :jap:

EA want their game to be playable on most PC's, not every computer at home can generate xbox 360 graphics and EA SPORTS know they'd loose sales having very high spec' requirements on the back of the PC casing. Not everyone has a top of the range computer to run 'next-generation console' graphics. EA know every 360 has the same hardware so they can push it and use up all that processing power...I myself have a 360 and yes the graphics between the 360 and PC look somewhat a few years apart in development! The 360 2006 FIFA World Cup ™ game, is quite ahead of current generation, including PC graphics. Plus the amount of animations on the 360 is plenty, plenty more, including animated hair, which is totally cosmetic...but looks great!

Xbox 360 FIFA ™ 07 will look amazing no doubt. The ball physics in the video shown look a LOT like PES5, which is a big thumbs up...because it's not REALLY looking like PES5, just VERY realistic. Apart from the player who can header a ball without touching it....and there's me thinking EA has left out star players' in FIFA ™ 07 lol.

If they get the gameplay close to the feel and fun of PES5, including all the licenses...they'd pretty much f*ck Konami over. But Konami are quite ahead in terms of a solid football experience. Don't see hardly any bugs of flaws in PES5.

It still allows those with older machines to play, but allows those with better hardware to make use of it.

The machines people are buying now, especially gamers, should be able to handle better looking graphics than jaggy lines and rigid players and clothes and faces that look like they belong in something from 2002. The PC is far more powerful than EA make out with their current FIFA 04 5 6 etc.

You can't look at games like Half-life 2, Prey, even far cry from a while back, etc and take a screenshot and compare it to FIFA 06, excluding the fact it's a different genre, it's like comparing playstation 1 to xbox 360. EA's PC FIFA games are living in the past.

To me the videos show nothing really very new, just a couple of physics/gameplay tweaks, which is what people like you can do, trying to make the game playable. :)

EA need to work on the AI, they need the team to work as a team, and as real life players.

Ok, EA won't make a PC version like the 360 because of the low spec things but beyond that, Tomb raider did great putting the "Next Generation" content as an ingame option. Why can't EA do this, because they probably have an agreement with microsoft to sell more 360s. I'm disappointed with EA as I been for the last 4 years.

Yep, they need a new engine. I believe it's already a 5 years old engine they are running... Does anyone remember when was the last time they changed the engine?

On the second video, right after the penalty is committed, check the flying keeper. hehehe I wonder if that's going to be one of this years bugs to "feature" on the full version.
