Very tough but if I think about it and analyze it more I think it's better than last year (Real Madrid, Lyon, Dynamo Kyiv). We play Arsenal, an English club, which Steaua always manages to play well against. Sevilla is a club we played last season in the Round of 32 of the UEFA Cup and I feel like we could of done better. Slavia is a newby to the CL and they have barely any European experience. It should be interesting to see how it all turns out.

Yeah. Hope we can see some of your matches here in Norway. But I think Rosenborg will got most media here. Unfortunately. Now I feel Vålerenga can reach the UEFA Cup too, so.. I hope we get some teams in to UEFA Cup too, and I hope Rosenborg will do fine.

he's a fluke man, 11 goals in 7 matches ? and his record in Brazil was a little more than a goal a game, he's no Steaua goalkeeper.

That's the mentality I want from EVERY Steaua player, man that's refreshing to hear one of our guys say that. All this "woooow we're gonna play against such great players, I'm so honored" bulls*it was never gonna get us anywhere, that is the attitude we need. Bravo Vasilica

I think it's safe to give him a start against Rapid next game, nobody has been performing well for us on the left this season and with only one match before the first CL match it's important to get him going.

That's the line-up I would start against Rapid. Petre has proven to me in the last three matches that he's a much better closing midfielder than and his long rage efforts and runs through the middle are very effective (he needs to do them more often).

Nicolita is in poor form right now, I would start Badoi against his old club so he can go out there with this "prove you wrong" mentality. He has played better coming off the bench then Nicolita has been playing starting every match. I would play Badoi for 50-60 minutes then I would bring in a fresh Nicolita against a tired Rapid defense.

Hagi has to realize that the Petre - Lovin formula does not work when you want to score goals, lots of goals, it just doesn't. I mean we've played like 9 matches and have yet to score 3 goals in one match (:/)

I agree with you, Cristocea should start against Rapid. he played today in the friendly against Gloria Buza (2-0, Surdu & Ninu) so he is ready to start. great line-up there, that's exactly what I'd use, maybe with Croitoru instead of Badoi, though it depends.


btw, happy birthday Petre Marin! he turned 34 today!
