yeah, I know, and I do ... needless to say Magath is a better coach than the Wally with the Brolly, but I still would prefer to see Simon back in Italy rather than at VolksWagen for another year ... he needs a full pre-season with a top/ambitious club -- Milan, Juve, or Roma -- to rediscover his confidence, and ensure he can properly re-establish his credentials next season ... you guys aren't still in the hunt for him, are you?

No, Bayern never had any interest that I saw.

Zapata, as far as I'm aware is 3rd choice behind Boateng and Alex, but those deals aren't progressing and Liverpool has started to swoop for Zapata so it looks like we're in for him now too.

Notify when you do. I've been looking to hit up the 'fest one of these years. I'd try out your frankfurter.

Lol, you will come to munich, and try out Frankfurter? Are you serious?:innocent_smile_1:

First of all, these sausages are only called Frankfurter if produced around Frankfurt. In the rest of germany they are called Wiener. After Vienna.

Second, in bavaria you might wanna try out Weisswurst instead before you even think of Wiener, they are the national dish. (Y)

Weisswurt named after the Chelmsford player.

Rumors have us linked with both Chelseas Alex and Barcelonas' Milito. Both are mediocre at best but if i had to pick i'd go for Alex for sure. Milito is washed out.

Btw i will be in Munich at the end of August for a day only unfortunately.

I never knew about this. Hahahaha

[T]ake Johan Cruyff's farewell fixture for Ajax against Bayern Munich. You might think the result doesn't matter in a testimonial and, by and large, you'd be right, but what about when the team you invite turn up and give you a proper shoeing?

"The German champions wanted to show their Dutch counterparts something after earlier defeats and not being welcomed at Schiphol Airport," writes Dave G Boham. "They even had to sleep at a sub-par hotel. After jeers from the crowd, they showed their hosts something. Three goals were disallowed during the 8-0 hammering dished out by the Bavarians. The Ajax players just wanted to have a good time. In 2006, Bayern apologised."

We showed up for Cryuff's testimonial and played it like a competitive match, winning 8-0. I think that's hilarious.

Bayern loaned Takashi Usami from Gamba Osaka with an option that Bayern can sign Usami completely during half year "trial".

Me too. But knowing the dutch´s tending for showing off, especially during Cruyffs time, its not that hard to understand. They just wanted to give something back. Not very sportsmanlike though, but the dutchs behaviour during matches they owned, was neither. I dont even think it had something to do with an lousy hotel or Ajax supporters. :innocent_smile_1:
And dutch vs. germans is always...well....different.

P.S. Jupp started pre-saison today with 7 players:browsmiley:
