I can't believe no one has made a crack about how his name is "buti", and his display name has the prefix "by", which in English would be a homophone for "bi", which would in turn imply that "bybuti" (aka bi-buti) is a declaratory statement, not just a screen name, and which would thus allow this pitiful topic to be put to rest ...

Yeah, I adore Pique, Messi, Guardiola same as I do with most of the other Barça players and Barça as a whole. If that makes me gay, then I am a gay, if not, then I'm not.

the problem isn't people posting their opinions in here; the problem is the topic of conversation ... this is not about Barcelona; this is the harassment of one individual, focusing on a platonic comment he made, and turning it into an excuse for homophobic derision ... if you don't like buti's opinions, that is more than fine because everyone is entitled to their opinion ... but it is not an excuse for some of the statements being made ...

light banter is never going to be discouraged, but that point was passed a few days back ... we all know that this is a just forum, and won't affect real life much / at all ... but it does not mean that homophobia will be / should be tolerated in the public domain ... can't believe the mods haven't taken action yet (at least, it is not visible) ... this has made for poor conversation, that will end on a sour note -- how can anyone think that such a thing would keep up the level of this forum?

Barca got a very easy draw in Stuttgart (like Sevilla ). Stuttgart looked pretty bad when we played them in Germany... I don't know what kind of form they'll be in come February, but I can't imagine they'll give you cules any trouble. And they're 17th in the Bundesliga right now O_O

they're 15th actually ... but still there is a valid point to be made: survival in the bundesliga is a lot more important than a decent run in europe -- considering that it is very, very, very unlikely that stuttgart can go all the way and win the champions league ... if they are still involved in a relegation dogfight come february, then they may not be able to afford risking their strongest XI in europe, and that will make things a lot more easier (on paper) for barcelona ...


p.s. just looked at the fixture schedule for jan ... barça and sevilla face each other 3 times to kick off the new year, including back-to-back home and away matches within the space of 4 days ...
