Xifio, when do African players leave their clubs? If it's before Sevilla matches, then we gonna have advantage I guess, since Sevilla will lose some important players. But anyhow, both Barça and Sevilla are going to play with their 'B' teams in CDR matches IMO.
the Africa Cup starts on Jan 10th ... all the teams want to have a 15-20 day camp together before the tournament starts ... so I'm guessing players are going to be off some time this week to join their respective national teams ...

when they would return depends, as always, on how far their team gets ... both Sevilla and Barça only have players from the the Côte d'Ivoire and Mali ... CIV are amongst the favourites, so it is very likely that Yaya, Zokora, Koné, and Romaric won't be back till the first week of Feb ... Mali won't make it as far -- especially because they are likely to face Côte d'Ivoire in the quarters -- so Keita and Kanouté could be back for the last week of Jan, but would still have missed all the Sevilla-Barça matches ...

Real and Marca reaction to Barca's 6 Trophy:

"We are a far better team, coz scoring 6 goals against Zaragosa > 6 (xtrophies + 2-x)"

hahaha

hahaha looks like madrid closes the anus.

epic fail

What the hell? Am I misunderstanding something here? So Barcelona wins a 6th trophy in a season to complete a rare accomplishment and Marca decides to focus on a 6-0 Real Madrid win over a mediocre side? If so, then talk about bias..

haha. Didn't you see the previous Marca papers? Like the one after the CL win, or after the European Supercup win? They are so funny and pathetic :D

While Buti is collecting some of pep and other players comments, someone should collect Marca's pathetic covers as well, at the beginning those things made me angry, but they are pretty funny and idiotic right now.

I'm just curious to know if they really believe these ****s or they display them for mind games.

If they really believe, then ...

I just checked their wikipedia page:
... But once “the Whites” lost this control to FC Barcelona in the early 90's, the successive boards that took over MARCA, made out of well known Real Madrid-supporting journalists, decided to do their best to make Real Madrid recover their dominance. Ever since most of the information has been manipulated, several campaigns have been launched against FC Barcelona and they have tried to win the referees over to the cause of Real Madrid. MARCA is today renowned for its biased reports and articles, particularly if it comes to attack FC Barcelona and support Real Madrid.

Well here's the answer to my "wtf" moment.
Also, Alex Ferguson hates them (H)

I can already imagine a Marca article along the lines of:

good try, but it will be like this:

Fifa Award:
1-Messi
2-Xavi
3-Iniesta
4-Gaynaldo
5-Kaka

4+5 > 1+2+3 => Real is better than you

and a big picture of Zidane, Ronaldo, Gaynaldo, Kaka with Fifa awards.

The day after Messi won the Ballon d'or, Madrid played against Marseille on CL, and after Ronaldo scored that goal from the free kick, Marca's frontpage was: Ronaldo (on the pic) and was written BALLON D'OR! lol
