I don't know much about this issue. I've read some comments from "doctors" who are blaming the growth hormones taking a toll soon, which sounds like utter crap. The guy has played what? 60+ games every season for four seasons in a row without an injury. Maybe he's pushing himself too hard, who knows.
But traveling around the world just for some "Messi & Friends" games seems kind of ridiculous. Especially after ending the last season with an injury. During the summer i wondered why is he doing this... For money? I don't think so. Sponsors' pressure? Who knows.
He just wants to play every game and give his all. Maybe that's what's causing him these problems lately. Some reports say that he's saving himself for World Cup.
Anyway i hope that when he comes back from his injury he'll be as majestic as he was before.
Barca will be fine, you've got like hmm... 2 or 3 difficult matches coming in two months. Villarreal, Bilbao and Atletico is in the middle of Januray after the winter break.
I haven't exactly checked the tables right now, but you don't need many points in Champions League to finish as group leaders.
