Extracting BCData Camera Folder

Hi all and I hope this is in the correct section...

How would I go about extracting the bcdata folder that contains the camera folder and it's subsequent files (with stadiumid)?

As per Jermaine81's post here, the same files for FIFA 15 were found at FIFA 15\data\bcdata\camera and the bcgameplay_ (ID). He actually uploaded the folder to that thread, but didn't explain how he initially extracted them from the data folder.

I've managed to edit broadcast camera zoom and height by following Beta990's guide here, but it doesn't work on some stadiums. These camera angles appear to be hard-coded again, however, I believe I can rectify this by replacing their bcgamplay files (in data\bcdata\camera\) with one that does work.

Cheers

Get cg file explorer (in editing tools in this forum).
Then select your game folder and go to: data:front-end; in the window that appears below: data-bcdata

Anyway I read all that old thread right now and people say that that method doesn't work, does it?

No it didn't work, the person who created that thread didn't know what he was doing. But the OP here is talking about a fix for beta's cam edits (which do work) that could possibly help with the hard-coded cam issue. I ran into this as well. My beta edits worked in FIFA 15 but they only half-work in FIFA 16. I can edit zoom out to a blimp view, but I cannot zoom in closer than the default zoom in view.

OK, I don't understand exactly the difference between the old thread and what you and mac1975 are trying to do; anyway cg doesn't extract the entire folder but if you extract the single dat files it works and cg creates a folder with bcdata etc...

I also edited my camera with beta guide and see that you can zoom out but not in.
So what's the use we can make of the bcgameplay.dat files? Because I guess those are for gameplay while the others are for other, external cameras.
I see for example a bcgameplay_187.dat that seems to indicate the default coop camera; so let's say it isindeed the default coop camera. for what I understand if you copy for example that file and rename it to overwrite all the other coop versions it doesn't work? This I'm suggesting was the method indicated in the other thread? (that doesn't work)?

He's thinking the issue with the cams this year may be tied to the files from that thread he linked to. Those files don't in fact allow you to custom-edit cams. But it could be they are key to fixing the problem people are having this year with beta's cam edits. I have no idea if extracting/switching those files will help, but if someone is trying to fix the issue, have at it.

I managed to get zoom in to work and now have the closeup 3rd person view I prefer to use. So it looks like beta's fix still works, the cams though seem to have different parameters this year than last. FYI, last year I set prozoom at -2000 or something (as I recall, can't remember), this year it's 100.

Any interest in buying a bridge? ;)
Yes, and I can afford it because I got an email yesterday from a businessman in Nigeria who is going to deposit 23 million dollars into my bank account.

Excellent, you can afford that laptop upgrade you need as well to invite a crowd into your fifa matches ;)

I noticed when playing Sunderland their stadium completely destroys camera settings (I'm currently playing using the coop camera fully zoomed out) I wonder if this tweak/hack/whatnot can be used to fix Sunderland's camera or would we end up staring at the roof?

I've been playing without crowds since FIFA 13, no cash for a laptop upgrade, people keep promising to deposit money in my bank account but then the next day it's drained.

I tried my edited pro cam in Sunderland and a few others, works in all of them. So this must be an issue related to specific cams, not stadiums (if that makes sense).

Hmm strange because I use coop with the same custom settings 0 and 20 and it's completely different in TSOL than it is in other stadiums.

You can edit and use this cam in any mode. You could probably even edit the cam and use it without having to start a new career.

PES Player Cam is all I've used since 2008, yup.

Open the db file fifa_ng_db-meta using Notepad. Use the Find feature and type prozoom. Change rangehigh and rangelow values to 100, that gives you lots of zoom options with in-game procam cam settings. I set mine to 65-75 in-game.
