Well, the chances do go against it after all the dissapointments year after year, BUT! PSM2 mag has never, ever said that a FIFA game could beat PES, NEVER! They always say it's got a long way to go to beat PES and I was expecting the same again, this is a shock for me to read.

So, I'm expecting a great football game this year with the potential of beating PES, especially with there being quite a few months of development time left, it can only be postivive, but I wonder how EA could screw it up, I simply 'BEG' for them to iron out bugs and get some real testers, because every year some stupid bug comes into the game!!!!!!!! :kader: :(

I was in the moment then and you took it away! :(

I will never forgive you. :crazyboy:

True, it is hype, all we can do it hope it lives up to it, which I'm afraid the odds are against it.

But the article was very exciting!

True Nick, oh and by the way you're not allowed to have the same name as me, it's a rule in the SG forums, I was here first. :crazyboy:

You'll have to change it. ;)

"...breathtaking in terms of improvement over last year." Okay, they've said it. Now, if its in fact not the case, who is going to call them to task regarding their credibility?

IOW, might an industry magazine have it in their own interest to hype upcoming product? Did you ever hear from this magazine in previous FIFA years that the upcoming FIFA was going to be ****?

I hope FIFA 2005 is authentic competition in terms of what matters to PES; I like choice. But with FIFA's track record, I think its more likely that the Italian FA will just stand up and say "Hey, we lost," than it is that this year's FIFA is some sort of breakthrough. In fact, I DON'T hope. I'm tired of hoping. I have PES; hope's no longer needed. I predict against it (FIFA 2005 being gameplay reasonable), and if it is in fact a meaningful football game, then we all can be pleasantly surprised.

Same hype? How could it be the "same" when it comes from a magazine who normally laughs and FIFA in comparison to PES.

They must be doing something right. I would be suprised if it is as good as PES though because it would have to be a significant improvement on Euro 2004 in terms of gameplay. But it certainly seems promising.

I'm predicting this to be an enjoyable game. Nowhere near as good/realistic as PES, but a good game none the less.
