"You are only experiencing two teams in the demo. In the full version, every team has their own unique style and feel and it adds a whole lot more variety."

Matt Holme

This is a quote from when the demo was out, someone was complaining about the fact that Juve and Milan seemed to have the same style of play.

After a month of playing the game, I feel the only way to experience a different style of play is to match up against another human.

Do you feel we have been misled?

An answer from Matt would be best!

Can't sue, all their promotions are subjectable.LOL:crazyboy:

All we can do is remember this sh!t for next year. Don't worry, next year if i'm still here, I'll be sure to drudge up some more classic quotes from Matt and EA. My favorite EA quote "industry leading gameplay" ROFL, oh god, I'll never forget that one.

I'm wondering Matt, were you misled, or did you just tell us what EA told you to? Did you really believe the teams would have different styles of play? And what do you think now, do you stand behind your statement? If so, please explain what you mean by "different styles of play"?

You out there??????

Of course I believed it, or else I wouldn't have written it.

If you cannot feel the difference between controlling or playing against Man U and controlling or playing against a thrid div team then I think you aren't playing FIFA 2004. This is what I meant.

the only difference then is div 2 and division 3 teams are alot slower and there skills are worse they still play the same.

But there is also a big difference in teams like Real Madrid and Ajax or even Bayern Munich and Man Utd, it all has to do with how to best attack the goal and score and how much success you will have with the players you have, along with the lack of skill from div 2 and 3 teams....at least thats what i think after playing it for so long.

It was not Matt Holme's fault mate....I also believed in many things EA said but the truth is that all teams play the same way
(unless mine hehe)

I agree, it is not as good as I would have hoped for, but you can tell the difference between the way the best teams play and the lower teams play.

Ok, thanks for answering. Honestly, I haven't played with a third division side, but I agree that it would feel different than if you were playing or controlling Man U. But I feel that is mainly because of the difference in the attributes. Ex, if your playing a third division side with Man U, your going to be cotrolling the whole game, only a matter of time before you score. Playing aginst Arsenal however will feel totally different, back in forth action with important battles in midfield and so on, in other words a much closer game.

This is not what I'm talking about. I mean the difference in the AI between top teams like Man U or Arsenal. Or the AI in any team for that matter, they always attack down the middle, no crosses, no long shots......search the forums the list goes on and on. The AI on offence and defence is VERY REPETIVE, you my not agree but from what I've read the majority does.

I understand what your saying now, but I totally disagree with your original statement, I feel it leads poeple to think they are getting something thier not.

I think it's all in how you play the game. If you play a simulation style game as opposed to and arcade style you will notice the different strategies and styles of each team. I play a sim. style and have noticed different styles of play btwn. teams like bayern, Real, Man. U., and Juve.

Matt, just like most of us, was (seemingly) duped by EA!

You're not getting what I am saying. When you control a team, you can make them have whatever damn style you want, change the formation, change team mentality, play long balls or short passes, whatever you want. I think the control you have over team is pretty good in this FIFA, I'm fairley satisfied in the player movements, and I really love the OTB (once you get past the minor bugs).

Where I challenge Matt is in the AI.:)
