Players make mistakes, you just don't know if Ogararu wouldn't have made that mistake. And for example, if it wasn't for Piturca I bet Daniel Niculae and Ovidiu Petre (or some other dm) would have been starters, and I bet that the score wouldn't have been 2-0 for us.
Players aren't muppets, if you're their coach it doesn't mean you can control their nerves, composure or power to make decisions.

We played like crap today as well against Luxembourg, only 1-0 victory but at least it's a victory but they are a bunch of amateurs so that's no wonder.
Big surprise is also Belarus who played 2-2 vs Albania omg
We play against them on wednesday (homegame)
Romania should be able to beat Albania easy come on guys this was only the first game and you learn from your mistakes right heads up and onwards to the next game.

What are you kidding? True, you guys sat back BUT, our team started using the wings and forgot about punting the ball uselesly upfield which was the whole first half. They actually started trying to make a purposeful attack, not just kicking the ball to your keeper. Yes you guys sat back, but had we continued with the same play from the first half, the score would have still been 2-0

I agree, this isn't Dinamo it's the damn NT there needs to be consistency at the coaching position in order to achiever results. Piturca is a good coach (look at the campaign he had with Romania to qualify us to EURO 2000) but he needs to teach the players how to stay focused for 90 minutes.

The reason why you were able to connect a few balls together is because when we sat back we stopped pressing in midfield which is the tactic that we used up to the second goal. We pressed ur defense and midfield continuously and you had no choice but to pass it back to ur keeper or punt it forwards, when we stopped pressing you had more freedom to pass the ball.

so you're saying that we dind't let you play your game? Your argument is no good either. Just as usual, Bulgaria starts off sleeping and then realizes "Hey, we're losing, how about we try". Our players were sitting back and watching for most of the game and that isn't because Romania is all that great.

Your lame remarks do nothing for a civilized discussion. Yes Romania definitely have a much better chance of qualifying and that was shown with this game. You also have to realize that our team really sucks because of our coach. For god's sake, he started attending some piece of **** physical education school in Bulgaria in order to get some education on how to manage the team :boohoo: If you have actually watched some of the Bulgarian players play in their clubs, you'd know what they are capable of. Stilian Petrov played as a DM the whole game...that';s not even his position. He was pretty much useless throughout. I don't think Martin Petrov made a single run down the wing during the first half and that is where his strength is, getting past players and crossing. Berbatov was made useless as well because all those punts up the field were not anywhere near him. wtf is he supposed to do, teleport to them? Had there been crosses from the sides, he would have had the chances to put headers towards the net. Romania played its triangle passes for most of the game and simply hid the ball from us. What did we do? We punted upfield and couldn't land 2 passes together. THAT is definitely a coaching tactic. You actually think the players said "**** it, we don't need to listen to the coach, just boot it upfield to Berbatov, hopefully he'll get a goal"? No, the coach gave those orders and the players have to follow.

I even said at the beginning, both teams have the talent but our coach is an idiot. For you to disagree is simply stupid.

and btw, it was 59% not 65... still a lot but you're exaterating.

you're blaming the complete ****ness of your performance on your coach? Just because he's crap it doesnt make up for 90 minutes on the pitch. A coach can only do so much, teams still win when their manager has upped and left a day before the match, it happens all the time.

Football isnt as tactical a game as some people like to make out, to levy all your "wings" abuse at the coach is blatantly unfair. Sure he might stink as much as horse ****, but after playing for 10mins the players cant see that, then they're either STUPIDLY obedient, or just plain dumb.

Or, more likely, Romania realised you wanted to play down the wings, pressured you, and made you punt the ball upfield to the increasingly stranded Berbatov, in the hope he'd do something. The coach cant be held 100% responsible for everything that happens on the football pitch, especially when the opposing team knows exactly how you're trying to attack.

Just be happy with a draw if you ask me.

I believe that during the World cup qualifiers, there was a game where Stilian Petrov had a fit at the coach, basically disagreeing with his tactics. What happened? Stoitchkov didn't let him play . And you're right, it doesn't make up for 90 minutes, that's why we scored 2 goals and Romania stumbled. I am happy with the draw, Romania played better and they'll end up qualifying but you all seem to think that they're all that great. They really weren't more than average, it's just that we sucked really bad.
