Or, more likely, Romania realised you wanted to play down the wings, pressured you, and made you punt the ball upfield to the increasingly stranded Berbatov, in the hope he'd do something. The coach cant be held 100% responsible for everything that happens on the football pitch, especially when the opposing team knows exactly how you're trying to attack.

Exactly what I said a few posts back.

its all about points, eh...1 for us and 1 for you...im glad this ****ty performance happened at the start of the campaign, so we can make the changes we need...I think Stoichkov has to go,...he was a great player, but he is an average coach
Romania was way better than us, but as you know in football the better team doesnt alaways win...thats way its interesting sport to watch

I wont say its going to be easy to beat Albania at home. You might win but its not going to be a walk in a park, I guarantee you that.
Man, why are you so suprised that we tied against Belarus. Its not like we got a draw against Brazil. And if you had a chance (not that you care) to watch the game, we deserved more then a draw.
OMG you guys 1-0 against Luxembourg. Everybody in the group should able to beat them by at least two goals. And Im talking about everybody, yes even Albania.
I know we dont have a chance to qualify but we can make some damage at home. Just like we did to Greece for the 2006 World Qualifiers.
So Romanian fans better hope that your players do not come in Tirane with the mind that we`re playing Albania, it should be easy. Because it not going to be. And you`re going to be more disappointed on your team which should be the second team to go to EURO 2008.

What the hell happened here guys :o How can you give away a game when you are 2-0 ahead in your own venue??? :o
Piturca shot himself in the foot with not inviting Ogararu that's for sure :boohoo:
We played like crap today as well against Luxembourg, only 1-0 victory but at least it's a victory but they are a bunch of amateurs so that's no wonder.
Big surprise is also Belarus who played 2-2 vs Albania omg :|
We play against them on wednesday (homegame)
Romania should be able to beat Albania easy come on guys this was only the first game and you learn from your mistakes right heads up and onwards to the next game.

I agree 100% with you man. I believe there are no such things as guaranteed victories in national team football, not after seeing Liechtenstein draw Portugal and Holland only beat Luxembourg 1-0 along with a number of other results. The minnows pose trouble for everybody now and they all have to be taken very seriously. I wasn't surprised that Albania got a draw because personally I consider those two to be about at the same level so it didn't surprise me that much.

I was listening to an interview with our manager, Victor Piturca and he was saying that they will take the match against Albania very seriously and that they are going there to return with 3 points. I can only hope that the players go in with the same attitude and show it on the field. Not getting 3 points out of this contest would be disastrous for Romania.

Hey guys, chill! There are still many matches to be played and I don't think that Holland are so good , so we can get some points from them...also we need to beat the other teams and we need to get 3 points from Albania on wendesday...

Listen to me, we will qualify because we played very good yesterday and I think that the guys are motivated more than ever.

:jap:

HAI ROMANIA!

i'd rahter stick to the oppinion of thetrooper, cos every word he said was right. the match wasn't even that kinda strong battle, i guess we slept throughout the 1 half. but i stick to the point- you weren't great and i'm gonna tell ya why- lots of your players didn't had the hunger for win. rosu and petre played well, codrea, cocis, tamas, contra were SH*T. and i think mutu didn't manage to do ll the things he sworn before the game :lui:

and about berbatov- he played crap, and was substituted with bojinov later on, BECAUSE HE HAD AN IJNURY! that's something nobody knew, and stilian told it to the reporters on the pitch straight after the game. this has been our secret, so that romanians didn't find out and get even more selfassured then they were before the game. that's the reason, he won't play against slovenia. :nape:
