english text with spanish commentary is it possible?

I got the nordic version which doesnt have spanish commentary, however
i got the spanish comment files.

Is there any way to play with spanish commentary having an english game interface??

install the comentary and change the settings in the locale.ini

first open the notepad and save it as locale.ini in fifa 08 main folder CProgram files\EA Sports\FIFA 08\... Then open the locale.ini created and put this:

[OPTIONS]
DEFAULT_TEXT_LANGUAGE = eng
INSTALL_LANGUAGE = spa
[]
AVAILABLE_LANGS = spa

close the notepad and save.

Now you have English ingame text, and Spanish commentary at kickoff.

it didnt work. I added the spa.db to fifa\data\cmm\fe
added dat_spa.big to fifa\data\audio

I have an audio.big file that came with the spanish comments
but i already have one in data\audio folder.

what should i do?

I created the locale.ini with everything u said but i get english comments or no comments at all.

Hi there oilisab

Backup your original audio.big, (eg. rename it into audio.big.bak)
and copy the audio.big which came with the spanish commentary,
in your \FIFA 08\data\audio\...

and try again, it should now work, with the settings dave5000 told.

when you create it call it user.ini not locale.ini & you will have espanol as an option but you cant have english menus w/ spanish commentary

& i dont know why
