I had the best English U21 defender until I included 21 year olds as well ... xmik found the legislation for the age of players - they're allowed in the year they turn 21, but players 21 turning 22 aren't. As we can't tell if they've had their birthdays or not, all 21 year olds had to be included, even though some may be too old. 
At the end of the season, everyone will have had their birthday though, and I can update the ages,
mutt, look at Sweden's U21s as an example. All the excellent players there have low ID numbers. So they were all trained up when it was easy to train players and there was no limit on skill levels... that's why some players have 10 shooting etc. because they gained balls faster and kept going until they got 10.
