Oh, I get it, it stands for number graphics in the zdata_xx. I will explain all of that when my tutorial comes out

Well let me kind of repeat:
First of all, you should know that I am fairly good with UniDB, I've been using it since last year when I used it to successfully edit Euro 2004. So I am not an expert, but I'm familiar with the program.

This year, I have been able to edit player skills, you know, like pace, shooting, tackling, etc... as well as accessories, facial hair, boot colour, etc...

However my problem is when I try to edit the "table_playerwrite" player names, "table_teamplayerlinks" player jersey numbers, "table_teamkits" kit fonts + colours,.... nothing happens in the game.

For example, I tried changing the Greece kit font to the correct one: 10 (adidas like France, Spain, Germany etc..) but it doesn't work for me.... You can try this yourself. In the kit font column, team ID 1338 (Greece) change it to the adidas font (10).
When I do it, and import the .db file of course, I don't see any changes in the game! Another thing that doesn't work is giving the players long sleeves (1 value)... I don't see the sleeves in the game.

I have the same problem, I tyry to change Cannavaro's numbre from 29 to 28 and it doesn't appear in the game

I have that problem with changing player jersey numbers as well. Well I feel bad saying this, but I'm glad other people are having the same problem, just so I know I'm not the only one.
Hopefully we can find a solution.
Maybe Hercules can help.

Concerning the player jersey numbers in player_write. I would just erase the whole line. Then retype the info in a new line. See if that works.

I don't think kit font does anything, recheck and make sure that your data is change by opening and closing your program your using.

Another thing to try. When you go to the game. Restore you default rosters and see what happens!

Hey it work, I change a player number, and I also could change the color of my kits number and name of the players... I just follow Appelget advice of restore the default...

I have imported a GK kit for Team ID 246 to zdata_10.big
in MS Access i have copied all the values from existing home or
away kit to GK kit and changed the color name and color number to 1 = white
i saved it imported from *.mdb back to fifa.db
in the game i see my imported kit,
but the color of the number hasn't changed it's still black = 2
and the name is white

Please help

That's because in Fifa 2005, different from 2004 is that the numbers are actual graphics. So you have to change the column with the name "numbercolorid" and "shortsnumbercolorid" to get the color to change. You can still use the number "1" to get white numbers. But that is not the case with all colors.

i tried to use unidb to get the eng file but it won't work this is what it says:
Run-time error '-214217887 (80040e21)
The feild is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add . try inserting or pasting less data.

Donovan I am little lost here... when you said "RESTORE YOUR ROSTERS" as a solution to the problem of changing number color and player number... How exactly can i do this???

You do that when you are inside the game. in the My Fifa menu. at the bottom
