Edit Controller Buttons

Hi,

I got the problem, that I can't edit the contoller buttons in Controller settings. I have a xbox 360 Controller and can't change buttons. When I try to change a button, press "a", it shows the "awaiting input symbol" left beside the original button, but when I press a new button, nothing changes, only the "awaiting symbol" disappears. Any Ideas?
