Notice before you start explaining. What you see and read most likely will not be integrated into 4.0.

I realized that the national section also needs a restyling. Less aggressive than the one for clubs. Over time I noticed that having every decade in the same World Cup and Euro Cup slot was becoming limiting for any future developments. Too many leagues within the same "fake nation" As a result I'm experimenting with the division into tournaments.... With the system I have in mind, I repeat, less invasive, there would be room to better catalog the cups and leagues for the national teams.

If before in a "nation" there were 7 leagues

Example

FIFA 1990-1999 (Nationals Team) 1
1 WC 1990
2 WC 1994
3 WC 1998
4 Eu 1992
5 Eu 1996

FIFA 1990-1999 (Nationals Team) 2
1 CONF 1992
2 CONF 1995
3 CONF 1997
4 CONF 1999
5 Umbria Cup
6 Tournoi de France.

Now there would be these "nations" and these leagues

World Cup
1 WC 1990
2 WC 1994
3 WC 1998

European championship
1 Eu 1992
2 Eu 1996

Confederation Cup
1 CONF 1992
2 CONF 1995
3 CONF 1997
4 CONF 1999

Unofficial
5 Umbria Cup
6 Tournoi de France.

Obviously where the Olympics are the "nation" Olympic Games. and so on.

In this way, in addition to a better order, there is the possibility of being able to create new leagues (new cups) in their specific "nation"... an example

Copa America.
1 Copa America 1991
2 Copa America 1993
3 Copa America 1995
4 Copa America 1997
5 Copa America 1999

Or my dream of the British Home Championship... Even if I don't know how to divide them yet... I've been carrying this problem for years. 5 years, single season? There should be around 90 editions for four teams... that's a lot of teams... I'll think about it in the future... For now it's in my dream drawer.

All this without having myriads of nations. Because the same new nations would be exploited by each decade obviously changing the content according to the decade.

What if I wanted to re-propose a national database only?
Easy. I will use the created years currently used by the Clubs
So "nation" 1998 with league... World Cup 1998. everything comes back perfect and tidy.

Another note. Did you notice the dot in front of the name?
I need that to get that league ahead of the other leagues, to prioritize. The game sorts alphabetically the nations. If I didn't put that point, you'd find Japan (J League) or the USA (NASL) in the middle of the selection of national teams. Not pretty to look at

Now, I repeat, it probably won't be available for 4.0 I have to do a lot of tests and change the various DLCs. But I think it's the best solution to streamline and expand that section.

Makes sense, it's practical in the same way, but except the date, we look for the tournament.
If it will be easier for you from behind the curtain, go ahead.
it's easier to search. instead of scrolling through the menu 4 times to get to Euro 92 now it is found as first choice in the section for the Euro Cups. At the same time I can also add the Copa America. Currently I didn't know how to add it... "FIFA 1990-1999 (National Teams) 3" would have been silly and meant adding a new nation. With the new system I remove nations. why FIFA 1990-1999 (National Teams) 1 becomes "World Cup" for example. FIFA 1990-1999 (Nationals) 2 becomes "Euro Cup" So it remains less invasive because it involves renaming existing things and creating a new logo on the existing one. Less aggressive than working behind clubs. I might port it for 4.1 because it doesn't change the basic structure of the patch. Just order.

For me the division with World Cup
European championship and Copa America including every tournament of the single decade would be amazing and a great development

Adapted databases, tournaments and languages... I spent a couple of hours at night setting everything up. Simulated some tournament. Everything is OK...
I don't like logos... I will review them with a clear head.

At present it could be operational for 4.0. I'll take a few days of various tests and maybe review the logos to make the final decision.

Found these floating around online. Hopefully they can be of use.

CIO must be Comitato Internazionale Olimpico? Or French Comite International Olympique?
IOC (International Olympic Committee) in English would probably be more fitting?

And personally I think the new WC trophy would look just fine for the logo.

New Logos... I still don't like the logos for World Cup. Had it been just one it would have been perfect. I can't create two different countries because in the database 1970 would look bad. The World Cup would be separate. 1970 alone and 1974 and 1978 together...

I could opt for a generic writing

Although it is true that it is a little crowded, i think that it adds a little more prestige in the selection (seeing the two trophies adds more importance in my opinion).
