the teams have 22 players, in case I wanted to do more years, and reached 2500 teams, could I no longer edit? Or would everything I did just break and stop working? Thanks for taking the time to advise/teach me!

To avoid problems of any kind it is always better to back up the databases after each team created. In this you will not lose anything but only the very latest things done. Yes the limit is around 2500 but it's better to stay a little below (2400-2450) to be safer. after that limit the game crashes at team selection.
