Well, when Raul voiced his displeasure with Real Madrid letting skipper Fernando Hierro go at the end of last season, Director of Sport Jorge Valdano said that if Raul really felt upset with Madrid, he could be sold and they would bring in Michael Owen specifically.

Of course, Raul would never leave Madrid or else Valdano would be murdered by the Bernabeu faithful, but there are definitely a few big clubs with an eye on Owen.

Owens overrated anyway...its just coz hes the only half decent striker England have that theres so much hype around him. Rooney could be soo much better in he years to come...

Inter should rather buy someone like Kezman or Zlatan....or even Montella.

Recoba + cash for Owen ? Hell yeah ! Liverpool would be stupid to reject such an offer.

honestly i wouldn't be surprised if owen leaves liverpool in a few years. he's always said he'd have to consider his options of playing abroad. i doubt this inter/recoba deal will go through, but in the next few years, i wouldn't be surprised to see owen ply his trade abroad.

Hopefully he stays, he'll fail over there... unless he will rely on his speed to run past the "slow" style of Italian football.

Robbie Keane failed in Italy didnt he?.

In stead of going to Inter first, then why don't Owen just go to Manchester Shítty like all the other scouse used-to-be's?
He and Gerrard will end up at shítty anyway, so why go to Italy first?

Many people say Owen is overated just like Raúl, although I dont think so because both are like the symbols for each team and they always appear when their team really needs them, and Owen is a very complete striker, so I dont think theyre overated although I used too :)
and has any English player ever played in the Seria A ?

Paul Ince left Manchester United for Inter after we lost in the FA Cup final to Everton back in 1995, out the door along with Andrei Kanchelskis etc, which opened the door for new skool talent such as Butt(scored his first Goal against Liverpool on Cantona's return, man I loved that goal, he was so full of emotion), Scholes, Nevilles, Becks after a loan spell at Preston. etc

Robbie Keane who is Irish, played for Internazionale too.

Inter-Milan chucked him out after only making 6 appearances, and no goals...
