Do you like the gameplay of FIFA 2005 Demo?

Please answer with YES or NO, and post your opinion too...

On topic: My answer is Yes! with capital Y. I love the gameplay, the pass and shots system, and what I really love is the size of the stadium... It's huge:) ... I played the demo with sideline camera on maximum height and minimum zoom...You can do a lot of tricks, passes and you have a good perspective on the field.

this game will never get boring!
tip: let cpu play on worldclass!
then you see perfect moves and how good the gameplay is

I think the demo is good, the gameplay is much more improved from previous FIFA's, still there's some things that are annoying such as some AI bugs of the Gk's and the stupid nets physics that are the same old bullsh*t... the rest is great, i like specially the new movements of the players and their ball control, it's the best i've seen so far. Now i want to see the final game, all the kits, the rosters, the stadiums... ;) (H)

I think he meant, "let the cpu play world class against you"

The game is pretty OK, so I voted yes.

However some things are very much subpar:
- Shooting/ goalkeeping is very badly done, with shots being unreasonably fast and goalkeepers saving balls no one should be even able to see....
- Heading / crossing is very hard to use and is almost useless ... Still it's better than before I guess.
- The players rarely leave their positions and thus the game is kinda stale. I never saw the Milan defenders move into offence. Nah, it was just Kaka and Shevchenko for themselves - and when I attacked, I only had Henry and Reves against the 4 elite Italian defenders, pretty annoying.
- Free kicks are completely retarded

If EA work on these points, they might get somewhere sometime. The game is not bad, but definitely needs loootsa polishing.

IMO though they should rewrite the engine AGAIN, and make sure they get it right next time, cuz most of the crappy stuff in this engine (headers/free kicks) seems to be hardcoded or something cuz it's almost the same in a 4th game now...

I think the AI is so crap and boring. I dont kno if its my Soccer Gamz demo customiser , but i dont notice any real change when i put it to World class. And the Computer never takes shots from outside the box , they allways look for a stupid pass. THis is so unrealistic because in the real world . when there is an opputunity to shoot, they shoot!. But they dont seem to do this in fifa 2005.

Yer my first impression of this game was GREAT !, but after playing it a few times im starting to get bored, the gameplay is very repetive and to scripted, unline PES3 where its not scripted at all. I am very disappointed that they left the same corner and free kick system , i always look forward for the new game to see what new system they use, but they used the same pathetic set pieces. There was such a huge rap about this "First touch" it is handy , but there is only so much u can do , i think i will get bored of the gameplay very quik, and i will easily master the CPU's "world class" , again i am disapointed in the "world class" because they do not play like real players, for example when Schvenko has the ball outside the box with heaps of room to shot , he just did a stupid ****ty pass. THis is very unrealistic because we all kno that Schenko in real life would of craked it into the top corner, And this is not just a one off. I have never seen the CPU shoot once! outside the box as yet. I do hope that the world class in the demo customizer is not the same as the real game, because there is not much of a gap between Semi pro and World class.

But i will buy this game because of Online, and the licenses etc.

EA have a long way to go to match PES3 letalone PES4 , i look forawrd to giving the PES4 demo out.

Well, i think that if EA are clever, they should use the online feature for the Xbox version (or the PS2 version) to release updates for FIFA 2005...

it's not that hard to release some patches that improve the gameplay and other stuff..

i.e they can release an update that lets you change the Set-piece system, an update for new camera angles, an update for more teams, an update for correcting some bugs...etc..

The AI not shooting from distance was a major flaw with 2004. I can't tell you how many times the AI had yards of open space but decided to pass to a covered player. If they haven't fixed this I'm not giving up my $50.

Its better...than 2004...i make give it a shot but PES/WE is much more fun....

on a side note....some of you may remember that glitch in 2004 where a penalty kick that gets blocked actually gets stopped by an invisible wall about a couple feet out....well that glitch is still there.....:kader:

Also i noticed that long shots still go in very easily...whether it be Henry with his strong foot from the top of the box or Shevchenko with his weak foot just awkwardly launching it...it always seems to go in if you get the right power everytime....very disappointing...the only thing that was improved really was the dribbling other than that its just FIFA 2004

It's actually 50-50. but i say yes because many features have improved like smoothness, fluid actions etc. the only prob is that when u r defending and u want to run u don't run as fast whenu have the ball so the opponenets just zoom past. So i have to slide tackle
