Do you know a team which... (CM 03-04)

I want to give a good test in CM 03-04 to some fancy tactics I devised the other day :p, so I would like to find a decent mid-table team from some good league with good wingers, AMCs and/or supporting forwards but lacking a decisive striker. All suggestions are welcome; and yes, I do realize I am a year or two late at posting this question :rolleyes: .

start a new game, then look through clubs at who has what and then add manager to that club, a lot easier.

Yay, indeed it is easier as my post is a couple years late. For the record, what I thought was a sort of 3-4-3 with two DMs (one of them fixed at position and the other freer to run upfront), attacking Side Midfielders, Side Forwards centralizing to recieve crosses from the other flank (--> / <--) and a retreating CF to distribute in attack. It worked fine...in WE4 :) .

might wanna put the FR and FL running out rather than in, TENDS to work better.

Two DM's may work, or you could just put someone in MC and someone in DMC.

E.g.
--ML-----MC------MR--
---------DMC----------

Putting a DMC and a MC like you said is actually how I was doing at WE; however I get the sensation that it can turn out to be too leaky in CM, with those side-mids running to attack all the time. I will try 'em both anyway. As for the forwards, are you suggesting something like this?

_<--LCF CF RCF-->_
________v________
^_______v_______^
^ ______________ ^
RM _____CM _____LM

I fear that it would cause too much overlapping on some sectors of the field, and I might have to remove that back-tracking feature of the CF to have someone to actualy finish. On the other hand, in the way I drawn there is no striker here at all, and that is cool; so I am likely to check it as well. The way I planed uses 3 semi-strikers instead,

_LF-->__CF__<--RF_
________v_________
^ _____ v ______^
^ _____________^
RM _____CM ____LM

And not to mention that my converging arrows system looks super cool in the formation screen ;).
