Naw, not a complaint thread. If you want to see things change, gotta do it yourself till WE9 or the next series comes out.so...

As some of you know I'm a realism freak. I'm working a newer gameplay patch this year with the PESFANeditor. First I'd like to know what are the top concerns regarding gameplay.

For me it has been

-Possession
-CPU Linear attack
-Score Lines (played and simmed)

After editing some values i've got all three of those problems sorted. Including the fitness value ( which can be easily edited by setting to 8 ), I believe the defensive aggression results in the amount of fouls, not sure if the amount of fouls is a good thing or not. While it may ruin the flow of the game, that is what football is sometimes, especially professional football - and it doesn't happen every single game, believe me i've been testing all week 50+ games, each game averages 5-8 fouls, and some extreme are about 12-20.

So if some of you could post your concerns in a bullet format:

I can´t say anything about cpu cuz I never play alone but I think cpu should center more and some players i.e. Lampard .Gerrard.Deco . Ballack they should shoot more times outside de area.

I just wish for a patch where some of the players' stats are boosted like for Ibrahimovich and maybe Robinho. And I don't want to edit them to what I think it's fair, I want to have it realistic.

i'm not necessarily going to edit individual players.but by editing globally those type of players stand out in the game as it is, editing players around them will give the final ball more of an impact. it's difficult to figure out the CPU attacking style because they're so linear.

Something should be done with the first-touch. The first touch is extremly poor for all players, even the best players. 4 out of 5 times when your player gets a through ball the ball ends up way in front of him after the poor first touch, and this usually ends when the goalkeeper or player reaches the ball first.

It shoud be something like gameplay PES DEMO 2 (the one with Barca)

Just reset all values to the ones in the demo2 (without commentary)...
...plus resetting fitness to 8.

I hate Konami for screwing up after releasing the demo.

Problem is : i cant find demo 2, so i dont know the values?

BTW, demo2 is the official demo Konami released. It's the one without commentary, you'll find everywhere(it's not officially called demo2). It's at pes5's official site. www.pes5.net (at the Extras section) 156 mb download.

While I welcome the initiative, I personally think that very few of the problems that bug this game can be fixed by editing the stats.

Even when you edit the stamina and ball passing stats, the CPU will cut them down considerably when it requires so. And you can put all players' speed on 99..they'll still get caught...

The decisive things happen within the exe file. And there is virtually no way this is ever going to be patched.

All the demos with commentary had the same fast gameplay, and all the demos without commentary had the same nice and slow gameplay, regardless of the teams in the demo.

I preferred the slow gameplay of the 1st demo (demo2), the one without commentary.
So did most people.

Anyway, the gameplays of BOTH demos were by far better than the final release of the game.

So SEPAKBOLA, u'd be doing millions of us a favour by patching the demo's gameplay into the game... good luk man.

Once there was a time when we the PES players laughed at FIFA fans when they were making a gameplay patch for FIFA. Now it looks like we are the pathetic ones...
Konami should take more time making the game so that they shouldn't have to release it in this condition since this game is not finished properly.

Still I truly wish you succeed in this SEPAKBOLA...

no sure how much of these you'll be able to fix, but it will be interesting to see and any improvements will help.

- ball receptions: sometimes you make a long ball to a player near the sideline (either with a long lob or a long L1 + through ball) and the player will either jump the ball (no I'm not pressing R1) or make a bad reception. either of the 2 will make the ball end up out of the pitch wasting a good possibility of a counterattack.

- AI-controlled player consistency on defense (case No. 1): this mostly happens on counterattacks. imagine a 2v2, you control one defender to go for the attacker with the ball, the attacker makes a pass that should be intercepted by your defender (or at least followed so he can steal the ball once it reaches the attacker) but instead he stops running for 1 or 2 seconds so he doesn't reach the ball before it reaches the attacker, and doesn't reach the attacker once he has the ball.

- AI-controlled player consistency on defense (case No. 2): there's a great number of enemy passes that go really near one (or more) of your AI-controlled players. this happens either because your player either is too lazy to move and reach the ball, or because he raises his leg and the ball goes below it. either way a lot of the passes should be intercepted and they aren't, and this happens a lot inside the box ending up in goals.

Should be posting a video tonight guys. I've focused mainly on the speed of the game, I think it's just right now. I've figured out that computer's linear attack depends on which teams you play, some are creative and some aren't. i'm also seeing a diverse attack method, meaning the cpu actually switchest the point of attack with cross field high pass. there are quite a few more shots from out of the box, and it doesn't only happen when the cpu is losing.still working out some kinks though, so update later.take care.

i'll also touch up on your concerns later. some remarks, in my opinion, are valid bugs - but some provide realism (bad touches) as well.
