do backups always complain?

I'm playing with real and all my back-ups for first team are complaining about first team football... is there anyway to get players that won't complain. Does it depend on the personality or does everyone complain.
The only time I ever noticed back ups being happy is if you start a new game and for the first season they don't bitch at all... if you buy new players as back ups they will start bitching in a few months.

Youths usually don't complain as much but they are lower quality.

It has got to do with his personality, mostly with Ambition and Loyalty. Ambition needs to be low while loyalty needs to be high if you want a player that's not whining.

Rotating your players will help preventing players from complaining ofcourse. But I always prefer to keep it to one basic starting eleven and only if there are injury's or a one of the players of that starting eleven plays crap I play my back-ups.

if the Backup is called Rincón, yes....damn that guy is annoying..i had him in U-18 at manchester and he complained he wanted first team football just because i played him like once in a cup match..

starting to piss me off aswell on FM06, happens way too much. I tell my reserve LB three times a month that "i pick the team". It really pisses me off.

I had many of these crappy guys with like no future in football at all in my reserves. But than I started to fire them whenever they whined, it helped.
They even wanted to come back after I fired them but I said 'no way' to that.

In my real game I tell all my 2nd team players that they are allowed to leave... They don't choose to leave tho .

I'm asking this because I bought Kevin Nolan and he signed a contract as a backup player yet he still whines about not playing and "too much competition for first team" altought I already played him almost half of the games as starter/sub. Bastard.


Been playing great tho. Probably my only effective attacking centre mid where he can actually bang in goals and take care of his defensive end.

Still back up however.

I got a keeper who signed as a backup. The contract stated he was a backup. But he probably didn't understand and whined.
