Hi everyone. This problem is driving me nuts.
I'm trying to play a game on DirectIP.. my friend has a router and so do I. BOTH routers are set on DMZ, port forwarding.. Everything has been done. There's like NO security whatsoever, firewalls removed and everything. Both boxes are just totally naked. When I host, he connects to me fine and we select teams and lineups, when the game starts, it stays dim but the match never loads he gets kicked out and it tells me connection lost.
But he gets and error regarding FIFA06.exe his game actually crashes to desktop. When I try to connect to him, I can't even detect him, it just never even connects.
You'd think ea would have this downpacked by now after over decade of producing games. Its just IP2IP for crying out loud!
Anyway, any help would be appreciated, I really want to play against my friend and I can't figure out what the problem could possibly be.
If all leads to worst, is there a way for me to make a dedicated server? that way I could connect to it and he could to.. I think that would work
HELP!
