Excuse me for being a bit of a pain in the ass, but could you please explain me how to change all stats... say... -5 to shooting for ALL players, in excel (which I suppouse might be the easier option)?

So far I managed to export the players info and open it in excel, and that's where I'm stuck.

Fill a new temporary column with a formula in order to have all the values modified . Replace the original values with the new ones. Remove the temporary column. Save the file preserving the same file format and file name. Import the modified table using DB Master. I hope this helps.
If my explanation is not clear I guess you need a basic course of Excel.

Thanks a lot Rinaldo! the explanation is excelent. Unfortunately the Formula part is a bit hard for me cause I've never done anything in excel.
I've been searching the web but I only found formulas where all cells are added/"minus" into a single result

example:

I:::I::::::A::::::I::::::B:::::....
I==================== ....
I 1 I____40____I_________ ....
I 2 I____50____I_________.....
I 3 I____30____I_________.....

you add it and you get 120 in a single column.


What I want is to apply "-5" or "+10" to all cells and get this result:

I:::I::::::A::::::I::::::B:::::....
I==================== ....
I 1 I____45____I_________ ....
I 2 I____55____I_________.....
I 3 I____35____I_________.....

and once i get these results in my temporary column, paste them over the original values as I learned from rinaldo's post.


Could anyone come up with the formula? as I'm confident this could affect the game in a lot of positive aspects. I did it once on a PES6 OptionFile and it was praised as the best option file by the people who cared to try it. I want to do it on FIFA.

Hi Rinaldo,

the DB Master works great, but on efunction don't work, when I use this function the game crash every time.
The function which don't work is the "Expand FIFA 09 Databsse" function. I can save the fifa.db after that without any problems and I can start the game without problems, but when I press the spacebar for a fast match, go over the Kich Off Mode or any other mode the game crash directly.
Maybe you can make a update where this function work or upload a original fifa.db which are expanded.

Goalie and 3rd Kits

Hi Rinaldo,
I'm really enjoying your great tool!
I've added some goalkeeper kits with the File Master and then I added the proper row in the TEAMKITS table. It usually works unless the team owns a 3rd Kit in the table (even if it's not available in the game), such as Palermo or Fiorentina. In these cases, the game crashes when it starts loading the match.
What's wrong with me?

Just to let you all know, I solved my question on an excel help forum.

Here's the explanation to everyone interested:

1. Insert the value you want everything increased/decreased by (ex: 5 if you want stamina -5 to all players) in a non used column.
2. Copy it (ctrl c)
2. Highlight all the values in the stamina column.
3. Left click, and select "paste special"
5. Select the mathematic operation (for example, add), and it will use the value you had copied in step 2 to modify all values, in this case, by adding 5.

This may help reduce, for example, the high free kick accuracy, or increase stamina. I don't know, think of all the uses you can.

Just one question: do you have a file previously saved with the old database that you are trying to load ? If this is the case it is normal to have a crash because the old saved file is not compatible with the expanded database. Otherwise it could be that you have found a bug and I will ask you to send your database to me in order to understand what is happening.

Third kits must be recorded also in the rewards table and unlocked in the shop (set the cost to 0 for commodity)

I would say, that this is a little bug, because i have now try to expand the original fifa.db from DVD and there I have the same result, a game crash.

You uploaded a database not expanded, I did the expansion of your db and it works perfectly (I played a game at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium ). There must be another reason for your crash.

That is very strange.
Because for the expansion I test FIFA and it works perfect, then I close FIFA 09 and start the DBMaster 09 and load the fifa.db and make the expansion, after that I save the DB and reopen it. Now I start FIFA 09 to test it and it crash and I don't edit anything in this time, I only make the expansion of the DB.
So I can't see any other reason.

But I have two more little things.
1. Is it normal, that the DBMaster 09 need round about 90 - 120 sec to save the DB? Because the FIFA 08 DB was much save faster with the DBMaster08 then the FIFA 09 DB with the DBMaster 09. I know that the DB is bigger and have 7 tables more I mean but most of this table are empty or have only one or two columns.

2. Can you upload the expanded DB?

When you want the Champions League in the first season of the carrer, then you must edit the ID of the Tournament under 95

I'm finishing a database edition, working on global player ratings in order to improve the general game behaviour.

Fictional example: I consider the 1-100 values for freekicks is way too generous, and it should work on a 1-90 scale instead, leading to less FK killers. This 10 points reduction apply to every single player in the game, creating a shorter scale.

You know what I mean, right?

Believe me it's working great. I'll let you know when I complete my diagnose and release a beta fifa.db

So far, I've archieved the following:

- Players don't outrun each others so often (by reducing acceleration, players have to build their speed a little more; they still run at the same full speed though). CONFIRMED

- Less accuray and power for long shots. CONFIRMED

- Freekick accuracy decreased (but still possible to score). CONFIRMED

- Better goalkeepers positioning and reflexes (still judging by the numbers, need more gameplay tests to confirm the real impact on this). NOT FULLY CONFIRMED

I now need to confirm the impact of the tactical awareness. I can easily do this by reducing every player's value to 1, test it, and then try again with every player on 99. This way I'll be able to set a better logical range for this setting, which may prove to be useful.

I have a problem with DBM09. I edited some players changing the team they playing for and some data about stadiums and the DBM don't change nothing. I make the changes, i saved my work, and when i reopened the changes are gone! This in fifa.db. Same in eng.db. I try to ad a new name for a stadium i inserted in fifa.db but the eng.db wont accept that. the only way to change i found is to export and import a single data file.

I have a problem. This is what I do:

Step 1: I imported boots for Banega in the 179 slot with Monkeydragon tool (I do this right, the Boots effectively appear ingame: I changed every boot in the game and they all show up in the field).

Step 2: I set Banega's shoetypecode to 179 with Dbmaster. I save fifa.db

Step 3: I go to the game, and Banega still uses boots number 160.

Step 4: I check Banega's values again, and find that he has "shoecolor" (from what I've been reading, not used anymore) set to 160. I change it to 179. Now both shoetypecode and shoecolor are 179. I save fifa.db

Step 5: I play the game again, and wouldn't you know it, Banega still has boots number 160!!! and this also happens to all the other players.

Any help, anyone? Thanks.
