Database Editing and Compdata Talk

Some modders have an issue after editing the database and try to play career mode (the game crashes). So, this thread would be used to solve this problem.

I made some tests:

- Added some missing reserve players for argentinian teams. [NO CRASH]
- Added a "Rest of World" team (and put in RoW league), that contains some existing players taken from "Free Agents" (like Diego Forlán, Jeremain Lens or Miguel Veloso). [NO CRASH]
- Added Atlético Mineiro (and put in RoW league) with all the players imported from FIFA 14 tables. [GAME CRASHES]

The main thing (db wise) to pay attention to now are the new tables that mix up columns from other tables. Some tables were simply rearranged but others take references from other tables (mainly the new defaultteamdata and default_teamsheets)

Yep, this is probably the issue and will be a huge pain in the ass for big patches. Hopefully someone can make a tool that creates this tables data because doing it manually will be pure hell.

Well, I checked all the tables (including defaultteamdata and default_teamsheets) and corrected the values related to "teams" table and the columns with players' id, but career mode still crashes.

Have you tried copying or comparing the default EA info for that League in 14 to check against the League tables in the 15 db? Could be related to that, or in the worst case scenario, the dll that locks stuff in compdata was tweaked to gives us an extra run of headache (hope it's not the latter)

Yes, and still doesn't works. I don't get it: a new team with existing players, works; new players for an existing team, works; but, new team with new players causes a crash.

I have a couple teams ready that I've been testing in the demo. I'll try it out with the full db to see what happens

1)Try to use playersid < of the last playersid in database.

2)Add playersid in table default_teamsheets

No, if you setup the groups the same, the fixtures are always the same and not random.

Great news, I've managed to set the compdatas so the career mode works without crashing on original hidden ID!*

*At least as a separate league. I will have to check how it rolls with eurocups linked and fix the matchdates -1day

Nice, Darrek did you bother editing the 2 new tables in the db (mainly the new defaultteamdata and default_teamsheets)?

Nope, I didn't even start editing them.
The problem starts when I want to add anything more on new IDs.
The game crashes everytime. Now I will have to check if any other league can work on this hidden czech league ID. Mayde that is a magic ID that allows us to add anything? And maybe the Brazil league ID works the same way? Guess I'll have to check it out

OK, done some testing.

I managed to start the Greek Super League on the brasilian ID and still no crash apeared.
When I added this to my last backup with the czech league the game crashed on the end of the career mode loading screen.

Conclusions:
-You can use IDs number 319 (hidden gambrinus liga) and 7 (hidden brasilerao)
BUT ONLY ONE AT A TIME. Two of them will most likely force a crash.
-You don't have to edit defaultteamdata and default_teamsheets in order to start the career mode with those IDs
