If you mean compared to other games, then it's a FIFA14 issue

yeah only on matches set past 10pm if im not mistaken.

Does really nobody ever found out how to fix this? It really makes playing at night very dislikeable, like there is a bug in the game or something. Also, is there any way to enable 3D grass with a patch of some sort, that would make the FIFA 14 experience so much more enjoyable. I've been looking around but still nothing.

It's 2024 and still no solution. I don't think there has been ever anyone interested in solving this issue. I don't have FIFA 14 anymore, but I think that this bug was introduced sometime after the initial release, so maybe earlier versions than FIFA 14 1.7.0.0 or FIFA 14 Demo might be free of this annoying bug.
