nice move by cristiano, i dont know what would been of him in madrid, he could have become the next zidane or the next anelka for madrid, but in machester he is already a made goodfella, he is going to have all the glory on his grasp, in madrid things are a bit dificult cause they are still in a process of rebuilding the team ( like 4 years rebuilding lol )

The papers are saying he's on £119k per week, about £6.2 million a year. Isn't Ballack on around 140?

Ballack and Shevchenko are both on around £130k.

yeh hes on 120 grand a week plus bonuses.. Good for him to sign. But its still my opinion that players should have been at a club at least 5 to 7 years and prove their loyalty before earning anything over 60 grand a week. Hes had a good season yes but hes still 21 22. So does that mean his next contract will be 180 grand per week? Whats Rooney on? cant be more than 60 grand a week right plus advertising money and that.

I'm glad hes signed though but theres a feeling Man Utd are being held to ransom by players like Rio and Keane did it as well few years ago demanding a raise. If we sign another big potential player and hes linked with Madrid everyday theres a feeling he will hold us to ransom and we'll be made to pay 150 grand per week to make him stay.

The club should stick to the wage structure. We shouldnt forget United are in 300 million pound debt repayable over 15 years plus. We actually got the highest debts of any club in Europe. We dont want to end up like Leeds. So we cant pay everyone what were paying Ronaldo like Chelsea do to several players like Lampard, Terry, Sehvchenko, Ballack and co.

We really had to pay him that much, seeing as we are paying Rio 120 K a week, anything less would be an insult to Ronaldo.

I'd honestly be suprised if he was earning less than 90k not including advertising.

I think Rooney especially is on a high salary.

Most players in La Liga are probably not on these extortionate wages bar players like Ronaldinho and so on. But hey the more money we pay out the more it puts a strain on clubs finances. Theres no insult in anything really. Look at players in Serie A. You think anyone in Serie A gets 120 grand a week to kick a ball. Do you hear them complaining about it? I think not. I'd be happy with what i'm getting instead of chatting with other players and agents saying i should be getting 100 grand a week because my mate Joe Cole is getting it. Thats what players do! Its called Ransom and indirect threats.

I suppose Real Madrid was calling.

You should have seen Fergusons press conference. Funny when he goes "Galacticos or whatever the hell they call themselves"..that had me rollin.....

You want the best players you gotta pay top wages. The concept is not new, check out the world of revolving CEO's and managers.

It doesn't matter what player we're talking about. They are getting too much, way too much. Just to think what they're paid to do the best job in the world, it's ridiculous.

And it's like that everywhere.

yea i agree but wat can clubs do to attract big names b/c at the end its all bout money which is awful considerin 90% of the top players lived in low class areas when they were kids
