Creating a player and points..

If you are referring to Be A Pro mode then you get more by levelling up which is achieved by winning points via completing the tasks you are set (both player and team), achieving a good match rating, and being named man of the match.

Im not referring to any mode. I just wonder how to get more EXP on your created player. So the only thing to do is to play as your created character in Be A Pro mode to earn EXP. Then go and edit him to upgrade or?

Which version are you referring to?? I am not aware that the PC version lets you distribute XP points other than in Be A Pro mode, so we may be talking at cross purposes here if you are using a different platform.

Ah, that explains the confusion. You might get a more sensible response in the Next Gen forum, but I don't visit that one so I've no idea what goes on in there ;)
