Crashing when going to Mulitplayer

Whenever I try to get into multiplayer or any online features via the main Fifa 08 menu, my pc crashes.

I'm using xp with a 3.0 ghz cpu, 512mb ram, and nvidia geforce fx 5500 graphics card.


Any ideas on why this is happening would be helpful.
