Crashing to desktop

I attempted to play in career mode when I realized that I may have overwritten my last career save when I clicked Yes to a save prompt. I even went as far as creating a new career profile while trying to look for my old career setting. While exploring the main menu, the loading when too long that I knew my PC hanged. I used task manager to close the program. From then on, everytime I open the program through the desktop, start menu, file directory and even through the autorun of the CD drive, it just csashes to the desktop.

How should I resolve?
