Crashing after importing unrelated kits

Hi, I cant work out what is happening here, had lots of crashes but always managed to work out why and fix them, but this time i am a bit stuck

For some reason when i import (totally unrelated) kits my game decides to crash with certain teams. For example, i import an aston villa kit and an arsenal kit, i play villa vs arsenal and it works. I then import a chelsea kit, an everton kit and a liverpool kit and go to play the same game, villa vs arsenal and we crash at about 40% through the loading screen. ironically if i play arsenal vs villa, the reverse fixture the game does not crash. I have had this problem with chelsea, liverpool and Man utd (strange its all the succesfull teams?) all when playing away after importing kits. Anyone shed any light on it?

oh, p.s i should add, i am using the big fat patch, so it shouldnt be that, also, i have tried several times to do this on my "worknig backup" and it has yeilded the same result everytime

Try resize your kits to 1GK.

hi, thanks for the reply. The point is though, all the kits wont be loaded into the game, the game should be loading the graphics required for that match, i.e the villa and arsenal kits as before, whether the other kits are 1gk or 2gk should make no difference surely?

hmm, been doing more testing, seems only to happen when I try and play the match in a stadium imported from Fifa 2007, does that help anyone with knowing what the problem may be?

surely someone must be able to help, surely this comunity isnt that lazy or unknowledgable? Ive not come here going "omgz it crashes help me", ive read the forum, analysed the issue backed it up and spent hours testing it to try and isolate the problem, and someone must have A.) had the same problem B.) solved it C.) had something similar or D.) at least have substantial enough knowledge of the software to be able to offer a suggestion.... come on guys, i need a hand here!

i have the same problem, but another teams... thing is, i did some editing, actually a lot of editing, but that doesnt matter, added some kits, tested the game, everything was fine, i backed all files up using backup-recovery tool, added more kits, tested, backed up, etc. and after, i dunno, 14-15 kits, it has all started to do some crazy things, i can play with some teams, but cannot play with other teams, i can play with some teams home but not away... i have no damn idea what to do, even when i recover old files, it is doing too... somebody help please...

i have the same problem, but another teams... thing is, i did some editing, actually a lot of editing, but that doesnt matter, added some kits, tested the game, everything was fine, i backed all files up using backup-recovery tool, added more kits, tested, backed up, etc. and after, i dunno, 14-15 kits, it has all started to do some crazy things, i can play with some teams, but cannot play with other teams, i can play with some teams home but not away... i have no damn idea what to do, even when i recover old files, it is doing too... somebody help please...

yeah, its very confusing.... i have found a work round though, i wish i could find a more perminant solution though. I deleted the gloves from the next gen graphics patch and replaced them with the original, and i put all kits back to 1g, i.e i resized them to 512x512 and now everything works. Funny thing is, they worked as they were anyway at all stadiums inc the fifamania superpatch ones (been using there stuff since fifa 98, top quality as ever) except the imported english stadiums from fifa 07(not imported any other kind). bafles me but at least it works now! Try something along those lines. If it still fails, replace the armband from the Next gen gfx patch try again... etc. long winded but as long as you keep a backup of the data directory just copied in your fifa directory then backing up and replacing is as easy as just renaming.

still, i wish more people here were willing to come forward and offer advice. would make things a lot easier

yeah, ur so right anyway, i didnt have much time for fifa today, but i put all my kits to 1gk and now im gonna import them (its funny, i did this before u said so ) but i dont have the original gloves, could u please send me those via pm? would be great and then im gonna test everything, see what happens, but i suppose everything will be okay then, i think that biggest problem was 2gk kits... :P

did your resizing work? if it did then you can keep the gloves, if noti can send them some how

thats not necessary, resizing helped! god, thats great... and it works with referee and training kits as well, i think this problem is solved
