I converted them to FIFA 07 format and followed your recommendations #1 and #2 when creating a .o file. But the country map is positioned incorrectly.
As you can see in the screenshot, the map is positioned right-bottom aligned but the map should be in the center. I can send the files if you want but I believe I should do something different in the .o file.
