corner cheat

Hey, I remember in past FMs there was a corner cheat that was effective for some versions more than others, it involved getting alot of players to challenge the keeper or stand on a post and having the ball delivered there.

Well on the SI forum I found another one that is pretty hilariously effective, here are the settings for it:

Two players - Flick
Two players - Keeper
Two players - St Far
Two players - Lurk (one of them is corner taker, the other your best long shooter with good first touch)
Two players - Back

Corners - Penalty Area


So far it's scored about 3 in 3 games with 2 in one derby game.

I'm not sure you want to use a sort of 'exploit' but I wanted to throw it here for those who would want it.

It supposedly only works in the 10.3, iirc. It's brilliant though, bit like cheating I would say, but then again the game cheats all the time.

Going to give this a try. I've scored 1 (one!) goal on corners the last 2 and half seasons.

Thing is, with this you score too many goals from corners, without it, you don't score enough, if at all.

For maximum efficiency, I recommend having 3 players set at Stay Back, one of them being the corner taker. The corner taker doesn't have to be good, it helps, but not as much as you'd think. Then set 2 players at what Horatiu said except for Lurk Outside which should only be one. He should be the guy with the best first touch and longshot, or just whoever's rating you want to improve, or whoever you want to score.

You don't want to set the corner taker as anything other than Back because the AI acts as if he's there, meaning that setting him to Lurk Outside could mean that there are players marking your man outside the box, and as soon as one player is on him the tactic is nullified. Also, don't think that pushing more men forward is a good thing because once you set 3 players to a single action, they move back (again, even if one of them is the kick-taker, and therefore not there) and don't stand where you want them, too.

If there's ANYONE not on the goal-line other than your 4 players, this probably won't work. If the opposition starts marking your man, move 1 defender to stand on far post. At least if the players aren't on the line, they're not in your way.

I scored a lot of goals with this thing, but it takes a bit of fun away because it reaches a point where most of your goals are from corners. Even if you have a great side that scored a lot from open play, using this cheat will substitute one for the other. Took the fun out of the game, which is why I stopped using it.

I find that, even with default corner settings(I'm lazy), you get alot of goals from corners as long as you've got centre backs who can head very well. I scored alot goals with Torino like that. Maybe not as much as this cheat, but still.

Well, yes, this works I guess. Scored 2 goals on corners in the first match trying it out.

I've restarted my Chelsea save today and I noticed something I hadn't before. The cheat seems to be more effective when the corner taker's best foot is that of the side the corner is taken in. I'm not sure if it can make up for a worse corner attribute, but it seems like it.

EDIT: Anyone got any idea why Windows Vista ignores FM when I take a screen?

I signed Soldado in the winter transfer season and he got top goal scorer in the Serie a thanks to this .
