Just watched Ruidiaz's post-match reaction claiming it was a fast play and the ball clearly hits his thigh, doesn't get the polemics about a handball. What a king!

Jesus fucking Corona has been incredible in this second half against Venezuela. What a goal!

Saved Mexico's collective asses from possibly going down in the second round against Argentina for like the umpteenth time.

How about this Venezuela side though? Very composed and has some fine players, Rondon is a good striker and this Peñaranda kind seems like a great find.
Also Rincon, watched him throughout the years in a few WC qualifiers and never caught my eye. But what a beast he's been for them in every Copa match, a great captain.

Yes, worst Brazil I've ever seen ... Elber couldnt even make it to Brazil squad back then and now Fred, Jonas, and Firmino play that role ...

Arnau, you didn't answer my other question ... what's your xi for brazil

Very well pointed, Elber was one of the best forwards in early 2000s and he couldnt even make bench because Brasil had monsters... Brasil is so shit right now i'd line up these, some are already dead but thats better than Elias

Gilmar

Djalma Santos, Bellini, Mauro, Nilton Santos

Didi, Falcao, Zico

Garrincha, Pele, Ronaldo

Dunga got sacked but that fix nothing because they are hiring Tite. Brasil s

traumatized since 82, they won the 94 because Romario and 2002 because Rivaldo and Ronaldo (Ronnie too) but they betrayed his identity and are shit.

No idea about Tite ... is he conservative or likes some attacking football for gods sake?

I think Brazil have to wait for Pep to restore that identity ...

Tite is a good coach, hard worker and cares about tactics but its more of the same, he doesnt give a shit about the game. Brasil media will sell him as their own Pep but he is very far from it.

I think Sampaoli was an exiting name but he has it done with Sevilla. Also Brasil never had a foreing coach so it was unlikely.

Anyway, its very difficult to gave an identity to a National team because they only have few training sessions. If you check great historical teams, most of their players are from the same team: Spain 08-12 Barça, Italy 82 Juventus, Germany/Holland 74 Bayern and Ajax, Brasil 62 Santos&Botafogo, Hungary 54 Honved...
