I love this game but have trouble getting used to the button set up.
I have a Sidewinder Game Pad USB and the WC game allows us to change the buttons so switch player is A Tackle is B
however after you save the settings and go play the game the controller always sticks to it's original mode of Tackle A and change player B. For the life of me I don't know if it's EA's Game, or my sidewinder that won't behave. I don't see any fixes around or anyone else complaining about that issue, did anyone hear of this or know of a fix so my controller options actually work?

Any Help or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Found a solution to this problem

Well I took a chance and downloaded Microsofts sidewinders profile editor even though it's mainly for the pro series.
This game controller editor allows you to change the keys that the button responds to on your game pad. It now works in the game however you have to keep the profile open which may drain slight amount of available memory or even make the pad the slightest bit slower responding.
If anyone knows of a solution whereby I can adjust the buttons within the game without this editor please let me know.

I've seen on a French FIFA forum that someone had a similar problem so just in case others need this info I'm gonna share it:

I got the profile editor from the MIcrosoft Sidewinders trouble shooting web site. THe program runs in your system tray but I recommend placing a shortcut on your tool bar or desktop and removing it from your system tray.
Because things on your tray use up available memory and slow games and surfing the net down.
Through your System Configuration Utility called ; msconfig (Start menu- Run- paste the term: msconfig)
then press OK and the utility will be on your desktop, go to the tab for 'start up' items and remove SWTRAY by unchecking the item and on reboot it will no longer be on your system tray.
You can do that for other stuff too like Real audio or any CD sitting on your system tray.
