CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiying Thread

Dominican boss Don Leogal is relishing the challenge of taking on the world power Tricolor in their first ever FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign:

"A lot bigger teams than us have been intimidated by the Azteca," the boss admitted. "All we can do is try our best and hope to get a result... We are realistic, but football can be a glorious game and anything can happen."

well, at least they're not scared. :D

What the hell happened to everyone? Guatemala, Jamaica and Costa Rica should've won by a landslide yet they all tied, and Honduras beat friggin Antilles by one goal? Something's seriously wrong.

Costa Rica faced a pretty strong Cuban side, the Cubans might spring a surprise this trip, so be on the lookout.

Haiti are no pushovers either, the US learnt that a couple months back.

What happened man? If Jamaica don't go through I'm going to hold you personally responsible! ;)

Why didn't Andy Williams play? We could've used him Saturday vs. Los Angeles. :(

But anyway I'm really rooting for Jamaica if only for the fact that they have way too many players in MLS.

We just have a dumb coach.:(

He also left out our second best striker out of the team because he had some drug issues that happened over two months ago. His reason was that "he needed some time to clear his head"......:|

I wish we could somehow get a new coach between now and next Sunday.:kader:

yeah, Costa R tied 2-2 with Cuba. I agree with manudt4eva, i think Cuba will be the surprise. Jamaica tied with Haiti, not surprised... Haiti might not be the best country in the world, but theyre soccer isnt that bad (i think..)

CONCACAF is probley the most open of the regions. People outside CONCACAF don't know that tho.

Anything can happen on any day.

Canada-Belize is about to get started here.. I hope we can at least win by 2 or 3 goals, this is the best Canadian side ever, with our best coach ever.

Ya, this is Canadas best team ever. And Radzinski actually wants to be there. But seriously, cant we get a better stadium than that? its a bit of an embarassment. When does the next round begin?

next game is on June 16th, at the same stad in Kingston, ON..

hehe, yeah it was a pretty poor stadium. They should play some of these games in London, ON. They built a really nice stadium a couple years ago there on the campus of the Univ. of Western Ontario. Would be perfect for some of these smaller games..
