I think it's only available in Italy between Italian clubs.

You can split up owning a player, both having 1/2

the one who recently got the half gets to play him, and when his contract of co ownership expires you need to bid for him... the one with the highest bid between the two teams get him

i for one think its b/s

Actually, I believe the player continues to play for his current club after 1/2 of him is sold. Basically it's a way for a team like AC Milan for instance, to minimize how much money a player will cost if he blows up in the next few seasons. For example, a player is worth 1 million euros and is the star in the Serie B. Milan offer to co-own him for 900,000 euros. After his first season in Serie A he is amazing and his value shoots up to 7 million. Now Milan only have to outbid his club for his services instead of buying him outright. The club might only have 4 million to spare, and Milan bids 5 million, so in effect a 7 million euro player (who would have probably cost 10+) goes to Milan for under 6 million. If you don't have a LOT of money, don't do it.

I don't think so. Juve paid something like 45 million for Buffon.

    Could be wrong though.

Did anyone mentioned that you need to pay both clubs of the co-owned player if you want to buy him and you are not playing as either of those clubs?
