Error message when selecting Tournaments tab:
I fixed it by changing the year start date in the tournaments tab which was defaulting to 2010. I didn't use the arrows because it sticks so I clicked into the date box and changed the date to 2012 then closed/saved and reopened.
I will just keep updating this post with issues I find.
Findings:
1. When I highlight any default league and then highlight a league play stage it shows the play year as 2011. Every league uses 2011, this may be due to the fact CM defaults to 2010 when you first open it and click on the tournaments tab.
2. I cant see options at the bottom of the page, there is no way to scroll down so league fixture dates and other data are cut off, I switched to higher resolution and I could see everything, maybe you can add support for 1360X768.
3. When you change the loc data in the tournament section it will change the loc data for other leagues, possibly because you have that league tree open but I haven't really figured out why, I had the EPL league tree open as a reference and then my new J league tree open. I changed the loc data for my J league and it also changed it for the EPL and saved it that way. My J league is correctly named in the game but EPL now also shows as J league.
4. I used the ID switch function and there is a small problem. I made the J league using free ID 81 and switched with the Swedish league ID 56. The change was made correctly for the J league in the settings table and for both leagues in the tasks table but CM did not change the Swedish league ID in the settings table and it didn't change either league id in the compobj table.
I changed the data manually in the settings table and compobj and the career worked perfect, I simulated through an entire season with no issues and my fixture dates were perfect. I was able to go to season 2 with no issues.
5. Under "qualification Rule" I cant seem to get max teams past 4. I use "get teams from a league with max limitation to" and this number should go as high as the teams in the league but for some reason max at 4 teams. There is a drop down where you pick the league and then another dropdown where you pick max teams and this will allow me to pick the 18 teams in my league. The "Get teams from a league in order" selection does not seem to work, when you choose it and click ok, you can reopen the rule and it defaults back to "get teams from a league". The problem is in the tasks table it will show like this:

That tells fifa the teams you are alotting for that group are 18 but it wont pull more than 4 teams from that league/country. Its needs to be flipped like this.

This will put the top 4 teams from the J league into one setup stage group which qualifies directly to the quarterfinals and then put the last 14 teams into setup stage 2 which plays in a group phase with 1st and 2nd place moving to the quarterfinals. I did the changes manually and they show in the rules in CM but when I click on the rule to see it I get an unhanded exception error because I believe the rule is not in the program.
Hope this makes sense, if the ability to do what I'm trying to do is in the qualification rules then I cant figure it out. I do have the 18 team slots in the initteams table so the teams are logged from the league standings.
