I sold Pinardi because I had nowhere to play him - I had Braathen and Montolivo on the left and Toledo and Marcolini on the right.

Santos as a DC is great.
Also try Radoi, he's good for a season or 2, plus can play a few positions for you.
Darren Purse is excellent and you can get him for cheap.
Vladyslav Vaschuk, who's free at the beginning of the game is a good pick up too.Squillaci is very good but might not come to atalanta. Militio(think thats how you spell it) has very good stats but not sure if he'll go to you.
