Classic National Team Patches and Historical World Cups + Qualifying

I made this set of patches back in 07 and again in 09 but haven't touched it since. The beauty of a patch like that is that the data never changes.

As I have time, I want to work on these a little bit. Back in the day I was able to generate complete world cup tournaments from 1930 through to 1974. Now, I also have good data for a lot of teams in 2010 & 2014 as well.

These patches will be slow and incomplete. I'm in grad school and extremely busy. I'll put them out as I have time and interest. Be warned I could fall of the map at any time and I'll just have to leave it where it us (until I graduate? I guess?).

That said, I could use a hand especially with kits. The database stuff is really easy and I could feasibly have it all converted in a few days. Kits take me forever and my kits are crap anyway (thanks mogolos for the template). If you're interested in contributing, let me know in PM and I'll see what I can find.

In the future, I would like to release this in multiple formats, ensure better attribute balance, connect attributes for certain players over time (so they have a clear trajectory), etc. All of this is feasible, especially with help. It just takes time and that is limited for me.

This is a list of bugs, issues, problems, complaints or other things that eventually need to be worked on.

Logos are incomplete
Generic Kits for all tournaments at the moment
At the moment, the teams are somewhat balanced but the player ratings need a lot of work
Boots are not a believable color for classic players
1934 patch file excludes Czechoslovakia, though it has been made
Many teams have only 16 players and in tournament more, one injury will lead to forfeiting your matches
Italy flag for 1934 and 1938 is inaccurate
1954 Minikits aren't all correct

This sounds exciting. Do you reckon you will create a mod, entirely dedicated to international team. So a mod that would have all of the classic and current national teams and players. OMG that would be awesooooooooooooome!

Moddingways classic mod is too limited. I feel as though they don't pay that much attention to it at all. It's not changes in the last few years. Th players stats are ultra fake! Some of the players faces are way off the mark.

The biggest thing I need is help with the newer tournaments. Data entry.

I have data through 1974. If anyone wants to make a spreadsheet with:

Team, Firstname, Lastname, Birthdate, Height, SuggestedOVR

I could use this for any team from 1978 until 2010. Someone else suggested they might help but I haven't heard from them in a while.

I'd be interested in any kits or faces you're willing to share. I'll probably handle the database stuff because I eventually want to link it over time. I.E., players have growth curves, etc.

We're getting good data in the google sheets. That's really invaluable people. Thank you so much.

Two quick things that will speed up the process on my end (if you can). Format the heights in cms if possible. So instead of "1.86 m" please list it as "186." This is the format the FIFA uses and it saves me the step of having to parse/process/format that field.

For birthdates, try to avoid spaces in the dates.

If these are unavoidable, no big deal. I will handle the formatting later.

As with everything, the kits and logos are most important. I probably won't be back to working on FIFA 16 and may instead have to wait for 17 or even 18 depending on how the year goes. But even generic kits and logos speeds up the work substantially.
